#2 BLUF? Sorry, no help here. I've written it off to gender. No sorting it out for 70 years. Point me to the men's room. I know what I'm doing in there.

#3 The family are Saudi nationals from Jeddah.

Not American citizens. Whether they are here on green cards or visitor/tourist visas remains to be seen, but as described they certainly were not behaving like permanent residents.

Shea said that their financial situation began to change when their credit card was "maxed out."

Ah - livin' the American dream!

#6 Let's get this straight.
They were killed by somebody. Possibly themselves. But they were killed.

#7 How sexist. The media isn't nearly as concerned about these two girls as they are about Kashhoggi

NY Post:
The females previously living in Fairfax VA — identified as Rotana Farea, 22, and Tala Farea, 16 — applied for asylum in the U.S. before they went missing & found washed ashore on Oct. 24, according to the New York Police Department.

The mother of the women told detectives that the day before their bodies were discovered, she received a phone call from the Saudi Arabian Embassy, the New York Post reported, citing police sources.

The Embassy reportedly told her that her family's residency in the U.S. was in jeopardy because Rotana and Tala applied for immigration asylum. The following day, their bodies were found in the Hudson River on the Upper West Side.

"Reports that we ordered anyone related to the Saudi sisters, Tala and Rotana Farea, God rest their souls, (who recently died tragically in NY), to leave the US for seeking asylum; are absolutely false."

Look no farther than the parents in this honor killing.
