#2 I see it another way. What used to be returned to the environment (landfill for the worms or chum for the sea creatures) is, instead, converted to CO2.

It may be fossil free, but it is still burned.

Ya wanna do your part to stop the seas from rising? Sink your ships where new reefs are needed.
