From the way Mrs. Obama conducted herself while residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, I cannot avoid the conclusion that she considered her place in life her right and due. This is no more and no less than false humility to sell books.

I like this ol' gal. She seems to be a spunky one.

As for "impostor syndrome", I suspect that comes from getting things like position, honors and rewards that you know you don't really deserve as they are not due to any effort on your part. Someone's Nobel Prize comes to mind.

#8 Fortuntely, she is on the record as saying she loathes politics and has no interest in persuing a political career. This comports with my sense, over the years, that she despised all the politicians her husband necessarily spent time with, not to mention those dreadful voters she had to help him court.
