#3 Jordans gotten burned in the past, and sometime back in the '80s attempted to wash their hands of the whole thing. OTOH anarchy, or Hamas rule, in the West Bank is so threatening to them that they have a hard time avoiding being dragged back in. Its my impression that theyre looking at some role, but not as far along as the Egyptians.
