#2 I was talking with a couple of friends of mine a week or so ago about Vietnam, and something was mentioned about Hmong crossbows. That set me thinking - let's arm a few hundred Afghanis with crossbows, and help them learn to use them. Imagine a crossbow dart attached to 100 yards of thick nylon string and an inflated goat's bladder (they already use 'em for some kind of Afghan sport, so they're familiar with 'em). Let 'em shoot darts into the spokes of a motorcycle of some of these taliban as they go zipping by, and watch what happens when the goat bladder gets sucked into the steering fork. At 80KPH you should be able to toss an 180lb full Mullah about 350 feet - a bit less if he's packing an RPG launcher.
