#2 Muslims Call Comments by WMAL Host 'Hate-Filled'

And what, pray tell, are the various bombings of Jews, Iraqi civilians, and Londoners by Muzzies? Love-fests?

#3 CAIR's official statement about Israel is that a bunch of europians came over after WWII, stole the land, and claims that their ancesters lived there over 2000 years ago to justify their land grab.
Anti-semitism? Naaaahhh....

#4 Well, yes speech is free in this country. More importantly, what Michael Graham has said is true.

The veil of ignorance that Moslems have been holding up is being ripped apart. Islam is being described more accurately every day in the West. The War is being won.

With regard to free speech, we need to remind everyone that falsely shouting "fire!" in a crowded theater is not "free speech" and is actually punishable by law. For the same reason, Moslem preaching of murder for non-Moslems is not "free speech" and should be punished by law with the utmost severity.

#5 WMAL's comment:
The Council on American-Islamic Relations is calling on 630 WMAL management to reprimand talk host Michael Graham in the wake of Graham's on-air criticism of Muslims. Graham claims Islam is a terrorist organization, and he has taken Muslims to task for, in his view, failing to denounce terrorist activities and to take action within the Islamic community to stop terrorism. CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper says Graham's criticism is unwarranted and unwelcome." Such hate-filled and inflammatory remarks only serve to encourage those who would turn bigoted views into violent or discriminatory actions against ordinary American Muslims," says Hooper. "Reasoned discussion on issues related to terrorism should be encouraged, but extremist anti-Muslim rhetoric harms our nation's image worldwide and serves as a recruiting tool for terrorists." CAIR is urging American Muslims to contact WMAL's advertisers and express their concerns over Graham's remarks. 630 WMAL Operations Director Randall Bloomquist says he has received more than 100 e-mails from Muslims critical of Graham, as well as many calls and e-mails from Graham supporters. Bloomquist says Graham's comments are justified in the context of a radio talk show, and he is standing behind Graham.

interesting comment by Ibrahim Hooper:

"Such hate-filled and inflammatory remarks only serve to encourage those who would turn bigoted views into violent or discriminatory actions. . . "
He FINALLY gets it about the Koran!!!!! Hooray!!! YES!!! Enlightenment!!!! He sees how imams spread hate and bile!!! EXCELLENT!!! Now muslims will embrace the rules and norms of decency and civility!!!! that have created strong cultures over the last millenium!!!

". . . against ordinary American Muslims"
oh. he meant only when hate speech is directed at muslims. gotcha. never mind.

Which probably means the pro emails outweigh the anti ones at least 10:1. I would love to see the official breakdown of the numbers. But, of course, we never will...

#8 Anyone catch Hugh Hewitt's disgrace of a show yesterday? I only heard a little of it, but he gave a CAIR spokesman two hours of free air time. Hugh showed himself to be barely aware of the facts in even the cases he brought up.

Like the Lodi case. He let the CAIRbot assert that it was a unique case, and that NO OTHER mosques have "radical" imams. Hugh didn't know that one of the imams in that case had made a career of travelling around the country giving speeches and raising cash for a Pakistan madrassah.

I didn't hear the segment when he had some nobody on as "balance". What a pity he didn't consult with someone in the know, like Spencer, Pipes, or even Charles from LGF.

#10 Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

An opportunity for dialogue. We cannot back down here. Have the CAIR guy come onto a forum. Confront him with the facts. Watch the spittle generator get cranked up. Everyone sees it. CAIR guy drowns himself in his own spitoon. Lather, rinse, repeat. [/evil plan]

All kidding aside. The radical Islamists (CAIR included) are trying to intimidate. It's their MO, and it is getting threadbare. They need to be confronted with their hate filled bile and exposed to the light of day.

Yeah, I caught that. It disgusted me. I've alway been a big fan of Hugh Hewitt, but his pandering to this guy and giving him serveral hours for propaganda really killed him for me. I thought Hugh was sharper than that. It wasn't enough that he had him on the show, but his blatent ass-kissing of that guy was too much to tolerate. I really wanted to call in and say one word...TAQIYA.

#12 ...after repeatedly describing Islam on the air as "a terrorist organization" that is "at war with America."

Slowly and reluctantly, I've come around to the position that that's probably an accurate description. I've seen little evidence that it's not.

#14 It all boils down to willful ignorance. Moslems work off of several assumptions. First of these is that they exist in an "us and them" world. "They", the non-Moslems, have always and continue to be more concerned with destroying Islam than anything else. Everything "they" do is designed to do this, so everything "they" do is "wrong" and "evil". The flip side is the belief that Islam defines "good", only Moslems can be "good", and no matter what they do it is "good" or at worst "neutral". Therefore, when Americans build a school for Moslem children, it is solely to corrupt them and turn them from Islam. But when Moslems blow up the school, and the children, it may be "good" or it may be "unfortunate", but it can never, ever, be "bad" or "evil". Because Moslems can't do that. If they are forced to accept the notion that blowing up schoolchildren is "evil", then they will *blame* non-Moslems for it. Either "had they not built the school in the first place, then our children would still be alive", or "if they were not here then the Moslems wouldn't have had to blow up the school", or "the school wasn't blown up by Moslems, it was blown up by Zionists". This pattern is repeated endlessly by Moslems. It represents an inability to admit error--call it the belief in "Moslem infallibility". By this same anti-logic, "might makes right" in the Moslem world, and among Moslems, the winner is always believed to be "blessed by Allah", solely based on the fact that he *is* the winner. Which explains why the Moslem world is rife with tyrants. The murderous, treacherous thug who becomes prince by his utter ruthlessness, QED is the chosen of Allah.

#16 Robert and Sam, I listened to HH's show in absolute disbelief!
Has he lost it?!?
Well, I lost it, I can tell you--2 free hours of propaganda for the IslamoNutjobs and Hugh's supposed to be on the side of the Good Guys.
It was as if he had "discovered" CAIR.
The station, KSKY, which carries the show here in Dallas also features a clip now of Hewitt saying what a "nut" Tancredo is, too.
Hugh, has some major 'splainin' to do, but I now think of him as the consummate usual idiot of the enemy.
Worse still, HH got some good callers who were trying to get things back in focus, but he kept cutting them off, a la Chris Matthews.
It was a show from a horrible parallel universe.

#22 i agree islam harbours terrorism ,becasuse it is built into the religion as a valid strategy.
Mohammed and his men used terror and suffering to get people to convert to islam.
if Mohammed was a terrorist why shouldnt his followers be too.

#23 At war wouldn't quite nail it. When taken for what it is, islam is inherently inconsistent with a tolerant, multiconfessional, democratic and civil society. Although it is not the whole picture, islam takes up more than half of the canvas. It's nothing unexpected if you divide the world into an "us and them" system and provide inconsistent utterances most of which strongly advocate and extol violence and domination against the "them", not persuasion. To get along with the kafir, infidel and apostates a muslim would have to redact alot of the Koran's blunter messages. That is not an option under the religion as given in the Koran.

#24 I think it would really help if the Saudis would kick the crazy Wahabbi/Salafist imams out of the MOST IMPORTANT MOSQUES IN ISLAM. Tell me that shit doesn't send a message to the nutters that Allen is behind their murderous rampage..

"The imam of the most holy mosque in Mecca said..."

A couple of Sufis would fit right in, if you ask me.
