#3 No, what this means is that somebody looked at a calendar and realized that August is over.

Well, that, and the fact that they've lost most of their media attention to the hurricane and the Robertson/Chavez/Jackson song-and-dance revue.

#4 It's my opinion that Ms. Sheehan's "message" is exactly in line with the Moveon crowd but she's getting way too much publicity and people can really see what a loon she is. Moveon doesn't want to be too much in the light. I think they realize that if their message gets too much play people will realize what a loont organization it is. also, they don't want their finances looked at too closely, either. It seems they've played Ms Sheehan for all they can get and know when the right time to jump off the train wreck.

#5 Geez, it must be grand to have allies that will utterly desert you after *one* single poll result showing a loss of *one* percentage point in popularity.

I am reminded of a science fiction story of a futuristic nation ruled by absolute democracy. Whenever the President gave a frequent speech, he had to stand in a disintigration chamber, and if his national audience approval fell even a fraction below 50%, he would be disintigrated and replaced.

#6 Powerful liberal advocacy groups such as MoveOn.org are taking a less active role in Cindy Sheehan's anti-war activities in the wake of criticism that they may have muddied her message.

On the contrary, the message seems pretty clear to me: y'all are anti-American jerks of the worst kind.

#7 Come the day after Labor Day the only place you'll be able to find Cindy's name is in a pack of Trivial Pursuit cards.

#10 MoveOn.org:

We provided $100,000 and tons of in kind services to Cindy Sheehan and all we got was this t-shirt.

#12 "Code Pink protesters brandish signs with such messages as "Maimed for Lies" and "Enlist here and die for Halliburton."
There must be some law that isn't being enforced (isn't there?) to get these protesters away from the Walter Reed Hospital. This shouldn't be allowed to continue. The Sheehan deal if she wants to protest in Texas is way different from getting in the face of the wounded and their families outside Walter Reed.
I agree that the hurricane story has pushed Sheehan's story a bit further back, but am very sorry that it took such a horrendous event to do so. I hope that she fades away without the support from all of these groups.
"Morphed" damn straight.

#16 Hmmm, forged documents didn't work, Joe Wilson vs. Karl Rove didn't work, John Roberts is an an extremist didn't work, and now the Ditch Witch isn't working. Time to try some fresh ideas and policy proposals? Nah - time for the next smear.

#17 I saw a picture of her with the Great Race Monger Al Sharpton on Fox when I got home from work. A two toned pile of .... posing for the cameras. Images like these make me sick.

And, she says Bush is to blame for the Hurricane. What an IDIOT.
