#2 A large fraction of the comments on the Beeb website seemed to be along the lines of "didn't he realize that most of us are against the war in Iraq?" or words to that effect. The Michael Moore 9/11 meme is spreading. Many others stated that the war in Iraq is unjust, but the ends don't justify the means. Unfortunately, the ends do justify the means in Salafi moral philosophy, such that it is. You would think that at this point in the struggle, Joe and Jane Sixpack would be starting to grasp in some intuitive way what we're up against here. Maybe after the 4,563rd suicide bombing folks would wake up to the fact that maybe the guys in the turbans don't exactly stay up late at night pondering the Socratic dialogues or Christian parables. Well war is the great educator. They'll figure it out soon enough.

#3 apparently, he really didn't mention much about iraq in his screed. instead, it was all about the "west" perpetrating atrocities (um, like darfur, I guess). So al-beeb's readers still don't get that this isn't about the war in iraq. it's about the war in eurabia.

#5 Captain I am sadly convinced that the comments the Beeb publishes and the stories they carry are what the consumers want in the UK and Europe. It sadily is representatve of the majoritys opinion and ignorance of the facts.

Where do they come up with comments like the UK and United States are gassing Muslims? That has to come right out of their butts/ It can't come from anyplace else. The Beeb us happy to spread it.

From bereaved families of the victims to Muslim community leaders, the message was to the point and unequivocal. This was an act of barbarity and nothing to do with Islam.

They keep saying that. It doesn't seem to make any difference -- or to acknowledge the rhetoric of the terrorists themselves.

Or the support the terrs get from the Muslim community.
