#4 TW, I've noticed this about Paleostinian terrorists for some time. Seems the average age of a detained/iced "leader" or coordinator is about 25. I've always taken that as a sign that their "forces" were pretty ravaged by Israeli action, so their leaders were much younger than you'd find in a healthy organization.

#5 Youthful "leaders" aren't new. Check out the age of US leaders during World War II. Many were colonels by the age of 30, some earlier. The only "old" warriors were the generals. Many of the Air Force squadron and group commanders were in their mid-to-late twenties. Some of this resulted from the "last man standing", others were recognition of exemplary leadership. In the ME, I think it's the "last man standing" that sees so many of these young men in positions of leadership.
