#1 Maybe not,

Bouncers from a nearby nightclub said they saw the car being driven erratically before it crashed into a bin. They said the driver then got out and ran off.

Reminds me of the Bali bomber who couldn't drive.

#5 The IRA hasn't blown up anything since 1998. There has been a ceasefire since 1994 that is more or less observed. Unless there has been some significant change in the dynamics, I don't think it would be them. They generally don't go around blowing up people for no reason, they aren't muslim. But if they had a reason they sure would.

#8 Most assuredly not IRA. Not at all like their bomb tactics. Probability of Islamic source has to be well over 90%.

Seems to have been delivered far too early. With gasoline in the car, it may be that the driver became intoxicated by the fumes and failed to either engage the trigger or deliver it to its destination.

Between all the cameras and the somewhat unique purchases involved, they'll have an ID shortly.

Yeah. And if the driver isn't a Brit, that whole driving on the left hand side of the street gig could explain some of the weaving. I drove in London once shudder LA, DC, Boston, NYC ... none of them frazzle me much, but add in not being able to see exactly where my car and the on-coming one were going to pass (or meet) in the middle was pretty nervewracking.

The West needs to wake up and understand that the entire non-muslim world is a target for these extremists, that the extremists make up from 5% to 15% of the muslim population (with differing degrees of extremism), and that 95% of those left are either sympathetic to the cause, or active in supporting it. The sooner the death cult of islam is wiped out, the better off the whole world will be.

#22 My comments about this are in the other thread. Bright Pebbles get close to the mark by noting all the extra manpower needed because of Islam. My post goes into greater detail about the global costs of Islamic terrorism. I'll only add that Silicon Valley's Mercury News newspaper carried this above the fold ON PAGE TEN. Wouldn't want the sheeple getting skittish.
