(Continued from last night: twobyfour, the then future Mr. Wife gave me that advice not long after we'd gone running together for the only time. I was a gymnast, you see, he a marathoner. He left me a quarter mile out, saying he couldn't run that slowly, ran his customary five miles, and still beat me back to the dormitory. So that 0.66 second window wouldn't get me very far. On the other hand, he was terribly proud of my one-armed push-ups. ;->)

#3 No courage needed here TW. I'm surrounded by nearly 7,000 of American's finest; heavily armed Infantry, paratroopers, engineers, even a few Air Force personnel. The biggest threat I face is stearing clear of the DFAC dessert bar.

Someone was hosing him down but the flames seemed to jump up again just as it looked like they had gone out.

The Hero Cabbie Dad-of-two Alex,

"I've heard people say since that he was shouting 'Allah!' but I didn't hear that. It just sounded like a lot of c**p to me."
It was obvious the driver wanted into the boot of the Jeep for something and I was worried about what it was.

"I ran for the guy and punched him twice in the face with pretty good right hooks. Then I kicked him with full force right in the balls but he didn't go down. He just kept on babbling his rubbish. I couldn't believe that he was still standing. I know I would have been floored by that kind of kick."

This ties into TWs theory that the terrorist muslime Drs. used Narcotics or some type/s of drugs that made them immune to pain.

Alex continued to take on the man, who was lashing out with his fists. He recalled: "He was a big guy and I'm not really a fighter, but his punches were wild and I managed to dodge them and make some good strikes myself. Luckily, more people joined in and we managed to beat the guy down. The police apparently caught the other man. I don't think the policeman I saw at the scene drew his baton during the whole thing. He should have given it to me - I'd have leathered those guys with it."

LOL, Cheers mate!

Alex added: "After the two guys were restrained, my memory gets a bit blurred. I think I got hit with some of the CS spray the police were firing at them. The next thing I knew I was waiting in a room at the airport for an ambulance with another member of the public. He'd been badly beaten by the guy in the T-shirt and he had a broken leg. But the paramedics still treated the burned guy first He was being held by police in the next room."

[jeebus, triage, treated the terrorist first]

Alex spent hours at a Paisley police station telling detectives everything he could remember about the fight. He said: "It was only after getting there that I really began to think about what had happened. I started shaking like a leaf. A police doctor looked me over and said I had damaged a tendon in my foot as a result of the kick I gave the second guy. I've got a few pains in my back as well but apart from that I'm unscathed. I didn't get out of the police station until late on Saturday night. An officer eventually took me home but the police insisted on taking away all the clothes I had been wearing."

#9 I can't believe Alex got just a parking ticket. He admits to punching and kicking the burning victim of the car wreck - that has to be felonious assault. Especially since even fighting in self-defense is usually illegal in that jurisdiction. In all seriousness, he really should be talking to a lawyer and not the press.

#10 It wasn't even self-defence. What possible threat could a man burning over 90% of his body pose to the cabbie? This was clearly a vicious religiously motivated hate crime. He should be sent to a PC reeducation camp.

#11 If you think the meter maids in the USA are anal and unconvincing then you have to go to the UK and be ticketed by a traffic warden. I swear they use only people from Bangladesh or Africa who hardly speak English and look at you as if you are from Mars. They will ticket their own mother. Remember they are so dense, they ticketed a boom car on Cockspur and only when they got to the garage did they notice the smell of gasoline.

I received a ticket in spite of the fact the meter Fascist was told what was going on. My appeal failed, so I went to the City council rep, who paid the ticket.

The city council member priobably paid the ticket herself, because of the fear I would go to the local newspaper, and the parking extortion department would have had more trouble than they wanted because they had the unfortunate problem of having a ticket Fascist without common sense.

CABBIE HAS FINE WAIVED
Brave cabbie has parking fine waived
POLICE have cancelled the parking ticket given to a hero cabbie who took on terror suspects at Glasgow Airport.

Alex McIlveen, 45, left his taxi and laid into two men after a Jeep Cherokee loaded with gas canisters crashed into Terminal One.

But when the dad-of-two returned to his car the next morning, after hours of police questioning, he found he had been given a £30 penalty.

At first, police insisted Alex would have to pay up.

But, after a call from the Record, they agreed to drop the fine.

A police spokeswoman said: "We realise there were exceptional circumstances at the weekend and we are pleased to say we will not be pursuing Mr McIlveen's ticket."

"Our operators have been spending too much time answering irate phone calls. We have work to do, as this is a police department... Pursuing this fine will cost us much more than 30 pounds... "

He faced down the terror suspects after dropping off a fare.

He booted one of them as hard as he could between the legs.

A police doctor told Alex later that he had damaged a tendon in his foot.

After the drama, police confiscated Alex's trainers for forensic tests.

#22 Problem was, Alex wasn't aiming for the right places. A fist into the larynx will ALWAYS have results, regardless of what the pos is high on. Some other good places to try that will incapacitate is to hit the collarbones with the heel of your hand. Do it hard enough, and the perp has a hard time raising his arms. A good kick to the groin usually works, but if it doesn't, try the inside of the hip just above the groin. If you've got a weapon handy (anything hard will do), go for the kneecaps, elbows, the back of the neck, or the side of the head just in front of the ears. Do enough of these things and the human body will collapse, no matter what the perp is high on. The human body can take only so much abuse before it stops working. If the American public knew half of what I've been taught, the politicians would be terrorized just by the thought. Hmmmm....
