#1 Wow. A newsman (cameraman) I can admire. Very rare.

If this were a NY Times cameraman they probably would have felt compelled to show their "impartiality" and not get involved.

#11 During an interview with a Milblog, Cameraman Chris Jackson was quoted: "Unlike my co-cameramen working for CNN, MSNBC,CBS,ABC,NBC,AP, Rueters, Al-Jizz and all other ME media outlets...my employment contrat doesn't prohibit me from giving aid and comfort to the "good guys".

Kudos to Mr. Jackson.

#14 I don't think it's earned respect for marines. That is probably true but I think it's a gut level decision to risk your life like that and this guy had the right stuff when it was needed.

Nobody would have said a thing if he'd scrambled his butt to safety. Instead he went in. What a stud.
