#1 Time for some domestic wet work.

#2 If I were this researcher, I'd love to meet Dr Vlasik privately, and demand an apology.

Trying to get me? OK, I can deal with that. But trying to kill my wife and kids with me? You just declared war. You dont f**k with me and mine like that and expect to stay unblemished.

And when he gives this same old Nazi answer of "neccessity", I'd arrange some deniability a little bit down the road.

Give me 5 minutes, and nothing more than duct tape (so he cannot make noise and to hold the hands and jaw at just the right angles), an aluminum baseball bat, a cinder block, and a car with a tight fitting door.

He's no longer be able to use his hands (permanently), nor control his severely broken jaw ever again.

Might teach him a thing or two about making threats and supporting those who tried to kill me and my family.

If I were the guy that was firebombed. Just saying.

Yes - this pisses me off that much that I could consider doing that to another human being that had so threatened my family. Getting between a lion and her cubs is a walk in the park compared to the cold fury this would generate.

I guess he and I are both lucky that I'm not that guy.

#3 I'm all for firebombing some ALF members. They are nothing more than a different flavor of orcs we kill in the ME.

#4 Vlasak said often the people responsible for these types of acts notify his group eventually. "We certainly understand where these people are coming from," he said. "We understand their frustration. We understand why they are doing that sort of thing."

I'd certainly understand if somebody put a baseball bat upside this asshole's head a coupla hundred times.

#5  "If their father is willing to continue risking his livelihood in order to continue chopping up animals in a laboratory, then his children are old enough to recognize the consequences," said Vlasak, a former animal researcher, who is now a trauma surgeon. "This guy knows what he is doing. He knows that every day that he goes into the laboratory and hurts animals that it is unreasonable not to expect consequences."

And this character has a license to practice medicine? As a trauma surgeon? If Dr. Feldheim had been burned and was wheeled up to Vlasak for examination and treatment ...

#6 Vlasak is a disgrace to my profession and should be drummed out of medicine.

Trauma surgeons benefit directly from all the animal research done. Much of the knowledge in his head comes from animal research. He's a hypocrite of the highest order.

#8 Same comment I left on the first story about this; the barbarians are indeed at the gate(s).

#9 Doc Jerry's bio from Activist Cash...

Dr. Jerry Vlasak is a physician with an odd interpretation of the Hippocratic Oath’s dictum that doctors should “do no harm.” As a representative of the misnamed Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), Vlasak told the “Animal Rights 2003” convention that he would endorse the murder of physicians whose research work requires the use of lab rats and other animals.

“I don’t think you’d have to kill -- assassinate -- too many vivisectors,” Vlasak said, “before you would see a marked decrease in the amount of vivisection going on. And I think for 5 lives, 10 lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, 2 million, 10 million non-human lives.” When one woman in the audience disagreed, saying that Vlasak’s approach was no different from that of abortion-clinic bombers, Vlasak was undeterred. “Absolutely,” he countered. “I think they had a great strategy going.”

PCRM has denied that Vlasak was speaking on its behalf, but the event’s program described him as Jerry Vlasak, “Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.” Vlasak has also written for PCRM’s member magazine, and was called a “PCRM spokesperson” in a February 2002 PCRM press release. In an odd bit of historical revisionism, PCRM has since “scrubbed” his name (and the entire paragraph including his quote) from its website’s archive of that press release.

Vlasak and his wife, the former child actress Pamelyn Ferdin, are both directors of a militant “direct action” Los Angeles group called the Animal Defense League (ADL-LA). Ferdin herself is the president of SHAC USA, a violent animal rights group described by the United States Department of Justice as a “domestic terror threat.” And Vlasak has stumped publicly for SHAC, appearing at rallies and protests in support of the group’s “no compromise” plan to rid the world of animal laboratories.

Vlasak has personally been arrested several times for animal-rights-related activity, and urges others to “get arrested.” His most recent brush with the law came in 2005, as he and nine other crew members of the radical Sea Shepherd Conservation Society were taken into custody for attempting to interfere with the Canadian seal hunt. Vlasak sits on Sea Shepherd’s board, and is the group’s legal Treasurer.

#10 Ooooooo, so dedicated.

Take the little bas$$$$ out to the Mojave desert, break both his hands with the blunt end of an axe, cut his achilles tendons, strip him bare, and drop him off 40 miles from food, water, or shelter. Take his "activist" wife to the top of the tallest non-used mountain in the state, and do the same thing to her. I doubt they have any children - this kind of scum is usually "too vital" to have children. If they do, take them into custody and have them reared by a foster-mom on welfare. Maybe they'll actually grow up to be decent people. If not, there's always mom and pop's way of exiting the world.

I despize anyone who equates a sea slug, rat, or mouse as my "equal".

#11 Not much I can add to this, except that the lack of accoutability is equivalent to power in the minds of these ethically retarded sub-humans. It is so with all left-wing activists and peace hypocrites in this country.
I think only one or two examples of "direct action" would send them scurrying back to obscurity like the rats they love.
