#1 This is the cost of the war against islamofascism from an American perspective. How many illiterate, goat fancying, woman abusing, 7th century fixated barbarians do we need to take in exchange for this good man's life and lost potential? I don't think the price is being set nearly high enough. I blame the Beltway mafia, and the blame extends back some ways before the current poseur took over at the White House, though it looks like he wants to make the deal even worse for America.

#2 How many illiterate, goat fancying, woman abusing, 7th century fixated barbarians do we need to take in exchange for this good man's life and lost potential? There is a price to pay for being a center of civilization. I can only hope we have tens of thousands of other young Americans like him, to turn the tide.

#3 When you read the bio's of the dead and wounded of our forces it is indeed impressive. What is even more impressive to me is all of those just like them who are still alive, in service and in harms way. If you can; support them, thank them and their families. And never forget what they do for us and the nation.

#4 Push the blame all the way back to Clinton and the "peace dividend". Clinton cut the military he inherited from Reagan and Bush I by a third or more. If we'd started the war with the military that existed under Bush I, the deployments wouldn't have been as rigorous, and we wouldn't have had to rob Peter (Afghanistan) to pay Paul (Iraq).
