#1 How about a provision that would require a presidential candidate declare his having previously held "dual citizenship?"

#2 Phoenix Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema said the bill is one of several measures that are making Arizona "the laughing stock of the nation."

She has it wrong. Comrade Zero is making our nation the laughing stock of the world.

#3 Regardless of BO and all the hullaballoo surrounding this issue, it is not a bad idea to require a check each candidate to make sure he/she meets the basic requirements of the office during the filing for the office. This would eliminate a lot of the nonsense that is going on now. We tend to take it for granted that a candidate is qualified because his or her party puts them forth as a candidate.

#4 Public Office = Public Record
City, County, State, Federal

Legends of the Fall (close enough)
Hopkins: What is your business with this man?
Sheriff: That's a private matter mister
Hopkins: Ah, but thats a public office you hold Sheriff

So simple, it took this long for a governing body to have it implimented.

Dual citizenship as a child is the choice of the parents. Dual citizenship as an adult should disqualify a candidate, in my opinion. Using one's other childhood passport to get around the laws of the nation where one lives demonstrates a serious character flaw, as well.

Using one's childhood passport (faithfully renewed every 5 years) to gain entry into US 'denied entry' country (Pakistan), or apply for US student scholarships might fall into your category as well TW. Not saying our dear leader would contemplate such an action of course.

Yes, it most certainly might, Besoeker. Although it would have been his guardians who handled the renewals until the lad in question was 21.

#8 I, for one, have NEVER understood the whole ongoing "birther" nonsense. The Constitution seems fairly straightforward on this matter. After the EC meets and decides, the courts have no say in the results. Only the Legislative branch's impeachment remedy would apply. Even if a "smoking gun" document is now found, does ANYBODY foresee that happening with the current makeup of the House and Senate?

In any case, "His Oneness" is looking more and more each day as describing the number of terms he will hold in office. Thank God!

#9 Omolush de Medici1656, as I read the article, this only would only apply to Barack Obama -- and all other candidates -- should he run for reelection in the future, not retroactively to the 2008 election.

Here's a bet you can bank on. No matter what the offence, Barry will never EVER be impeached and removed from office. He may never be VOTED out of office either.

Besoeker, there is a bet I would not take. The ranks of the disenchanted grows with each day.

#12 John, I know this is out-of-the-box, and I have very little to base this on, but my gut tells me he'll resign for medical reasons before being defeated in an election. His ego is just too large to handle national level rejection.

#13 Look, we all know Kenya is his homeland. That's not going to change the fact that he's been sworn in as President.

#14 Can we talk about Him being the Anti-Christ? Yeah, it's even wackier, but much more interesting than birth certificates. Especially with some popcorn and a beer.
