#9 It will be very interesting when Virginia's suit against Obamacare goes to trial. The basis for the suit is that never before has the Federal government REQUIRED you to buy something just for living in the country. There are court cases going back to 1798 that say the government cannot do that.
When I talked to Ken Cuccinelli, the Attorney General for Virginia, at a Tea Party, I asked him if even winning would not end ObamaCare. He said that there is no severability clause in the bill, and the requirement to buy insurance is woven throughout the bill. So, if Virginia (and the other states who have joined it) win, ObamaCare goes away.
