#1 How is an act of war defined as a peacetime naval disaster? The Koreas have been at war since 1950.

#2 According to researchers, a bubble jet effect occurs when a mine or torpedo goes off under a ship from some distance. The bubble jet creates a huge column of water due to the change in pressure that impacts the ship.

Remember the Mark VI magnetic exploder from WWII? The theory was that you'd fire the torpedo set to run under the target; it would detect the ship's magnetic field and go off under the keel, and the overpressure would break the target's back. All very nice in theory, but the technology wasn't up to it in 1941.

It's been nearly seventy years; suppose someone finally got it to work?
