#2 That was only just a matter of time. I'm surprised it took this long. It's on top of a bigass hill. Easily defended.

#5 TOLO News reports from Kabul.

A group of suicide attackers stormed Inter-Continental Hotel in Kabul on Tuesday night sparking a firefight between the raiders and Afghan security forces, an official in the Afghan Interior Ministry told TOLOnews.
Head of Kabul police Criminal Investigation Department told TOLOnews that six suicide attackers stormed the Inter-Continental Hotel at 10:00 pm and opened fire.

Clashes between the militants and Afghan security forces continued for four hours, he added.

He said three people were hurt in the incident.

But an Afghan security official told TOLOnews on condition of anonymity that "tens of people" have been killed or wounded in the attack.

Meanwhile, witnesses saidd they heard three big explosions from the site of the incident.

The Taliban have taken responsibility for the attack claiming tens of people have been killed.

The exact number of military and civilian casualties has yet to be officially announced.

Kabul Inter-Continental is one of the biggest and well-guarded hotels in Kabul.

It is not clear how the militants managed to pass through all the check points.

#7 It's all fun and games when the gunnies are running around Bombay killing infidel Hindooos and Jooos, but it's suddenly not so entertaining when they start murdering moderately devout fellow Muslims.

#8 Post-Osama "MUMBAI/26-11 II"???

IMO Artic read, INDJUH HAS NUCWEAPS, BUT KABUL = AFGHANISTAN DO NOT.

Sub-read, "LAND BRIDGE" TO IRAN + CAUCASUS SEPARATISTS; POST-US/2014 PRO-RUSSIA AFGHANISTAN versus POST-US/2014 PRO-CHINA PAKISTAN???

#9 It's all fun and games when the gunnies are running around Bombay killing infidel Hindoos and Jooos, and the police don't have bullets for their guns... But it's suddenly not so entertaining in Kabul, where the security forces do have bullets, and crack international forces plus private security guards are nearby and have helicopters and machine guns and armored cars...and mad Special Forces skillz.

Fixed it for you, Scooter. ;-)

#12 Number of non-terrorist deaths in Bombay was 154 vs 7 in Kabul. Not entirely surprising, given that that Afghan bigwigs were at the Kabul hotel in force and security was tight, whereas nothing much of significance was happening in Bombay.
