Asshole. And it was three a.m. too. For a moment Hillary considered the device in her hand. The Apple of her eye. Picked it out herself, she did. She was quite fond of it, and it had served her well. But now it was the bearer of bad news, and Hillary knew she had a regal tradition to uphold.

The phone peeped pitifully and gave out a death rattle as its INTEL insides exploded from the impact with the Navajo flagstone fireplace. Hillary never did throw like a girl.

The last thing she remembered before waking up in ICU was reaching for the commemorative Jack Daniels decanter, a gift from the distillary (rhymes with Hillary!) in Lynchburg. A dry county.
