#1 This is just flat out treason. He is completely defanging the US Military with this. If not intentional to preemptive surrender to Russia and China, then the willful ignorance of this dolt is criminal and will get lots of people and soldiers killed.

Hopefully Congress can get the funding needed for these but at this rate the US will be conquered by the time Obumble's term is up.

#12 @ed in texas - ..water balloons freeze at altitude. As such they could become lethal and, of course, would be fragmentation weapons upon impact. The (hopefully environmentally-friendly) latex encasement would prevent sublimation, thereby maintaining mass through the drop.

But some U.N. accord probably bans them and Zerro couldn't violate this, could he?

#13 You can't drop water balloons. What is someone has a latex allergy?

Two thoughts:
1) this is being reported by 'journalists', a species not renown for their understanding of matters military

2) Is this part of some sort of Pentagon budget horse-trading? We threaten to cut this, which freaks out some home-state congressmen, who then agree to cut something else in return for jobs & money, and finally we chop our actual target.

#14 The Navy has a rail gun under development that might be considered a substitute for the Tomahawk. On the other hand it is years from actual deployment, and may not be retrofitted onto many existing ships.
