#7 @Besoeker: To me that sounds about as useful as having 80,000 people busy at digging and refilling holes. And I am entirely for shutting down any digging and refilling project (a keynesian absurdity).

#8 Not to mention reams of IRS employees. The real question is if they suspend any further modifications to it for a decade, otherwise the K Street mob just goes back to work the next day in a new season of 'Buy That Congresscritter' just to start the whole process all over again.

#9 Flat tax, no exemptions, deductions, etc. Essentially takes off and nukes the entire IRS from orbit - its the only way to be sure.

#12 Most people could do their taxes on the back of a postcard - the govt already has wage & withholding info - if it wasn't for all the weird deductions, credits, and paybacks to special interests.

As for those who feel Trump is sucking all the air out of the Prez campaigns, realise that this sort of hatchet job would be directed at your fav candidate if The Donald wasn't drawing all the media fire. Remember Romney's Dog On The Roof and Binder Full of Women incidents?

#13 Sooo the tax code needs to be complex to keep accountants busy. Is this the best you can do, NY Daily News?
