#1 In my opinion we are in the midst of a shared psychotic disorder. The media is fanning the flames of this disorder. Simple exposure is and especially frequent access to this barrage of media is in my opinion the prime culprit. The media supports the information the unbalanced mind is willing to accept. Perhaps this is why efforts to enlighten the corrupted mind fail. It is my understanding a psychotic disorder is supposed to be temporary but with unbalanced media input prolongs the psychotic event. I see day to day people walk about really on edge. Drugs needed not needed , withdrawals, many side effects and especially disorientation. The drug crisis seems to bring with it a nearly permanent psychotic break with at least an obvious mood disorder. With the current media mind games comes the increased deviations from the traditional norms. These people will go "postal" if prodded to do so. I dread Halloween. Real Zombies among the living.

#2 IMO, the Left's mental balance never recovered from the fall of the Soviet Union. Of course, the fact that the rest of us tried to be civilized - instead of treating them as dangerous animals, was a contributing factor.

#4 People who hate guns are easy to understand. Their minds are made up and can't be changed by any exposure to reason. A-10 aficionados and F-35 critics are prime examples, for those trying to find a way to understand the mindset of otherwise incomprehensible others.

#6 Are you implying that devotion to the wonderful and glorious killer of vermin, the A-10 is an irrational devotion? I'm thinking there's some 11 bravo's with crowbars that want to have a word with you.

Now, if they make an actual dedicated plane as a replacement, it's acceptable. An F-35 is NOT a decent replacement.

#8 As an 11B I will say the A-10 is about the perfect CAS plane and idiotic attempts to kill it without having something better to replace it will lead to a lot of body bags getting filled.
