#4 This was the crap from the '60-'70s draft army period. Somewhere in the '70s the military realized to many 'educators' were handing out worthless pieces of paper. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery was employed to validate those pieces of paper as the military no longer accepted the face value of them.

I've always felt every senior high school student should take the ASVAB, not as a recruiting measure, but as a measure of the education system they've attended for so many years.

...That's one of the reasons they don't. Educators know damned well that the ASVAB is one of the finest true aptitude tests ever designed, and the last thing many of them want is a neutral, unbiased test result in Federal hands that actually shows how badly they're letting down their kids.
