#1 Al-Masdar says on their about page that they are an independent media service free from any political or corporate funding, sponsorship or association, but western media refers to them as “Pro-Regime [Syrian].” Overall, we rate Al-Masdar Left-Center biased in reporting and Mixed factually due to poor sourcing. (M. Huitsing 9/25/2017)
Given recent Al Masdar reporting, its a wonder that any "Gulf-backed troops" are still alive.

#2 Truly, Clurong Peacock9529. But nobody is unbiased in that part of the world -- it's just a matter of recognizing which bias a particular source has, and how fanciful its reports. Too far from reality, and we don't use them. That's one reason we stopped posting articles from Hurriyet after the so-called coup attempt in Turkey. It no longer dared be an independent voice.
