#5 Hopefully it's a ploy to get Cindy to waste the bulk of her family fortune the first time she has to actually run to keep the seat.

#7 So she's going to be appointed. Isn't that what those who want the 17th Amendment to be repealed want?

#9 Is that even legal? Who makes the decision, the Governor? I cannot imagine why she would even want it. Also, someone needs to clue these people into the fact that it isn't HIS seat. The seat belongs to the people of Arizona.

#11 It's very difficult to defeat an incumbent, even one like Cindy McCain who was appointed rather than elected. She'll have the name recognition and campaign contributions from the oligarchy. So yeah, the Duke of Arizona will pass his wealth and power to the Duchess.

#12 She'll work out as well as Mel Carnahan's widow, which is to say one partial term and done.
