Actually, as Winston was aware, the chocolate ration was to be reduced from thirty grammes to twenty at the end of the present week. #15 These kind of proposals typically come up in summer, only to be forgotten in fall.

It's stupid, too. If meat prices rise, poor people would buy more lower quality meat from mass production.
