That in a nutshell is one major problem - a "life" sentence could mean as little as 25 years (assuming he lives that long).

In the good old days, murderers were hung.

I see a grizzled, habitual taker of innocent life. 25 years is injustice. He will influence inmates in worse ways. If his antecedents are investigated they will find he's either a regime soldier or terrorist runaway from some four letter raghead collective.
