#2 The Polisario Front, Frente Polisario, from the Spanish abbreviation of Frente Popular de Liberación de Saguía el Hamra y Río de Oro, is a Sahrawi rebel national liberation movement aiming to end Moroccan presence in the Western Sahara. Founded: May 10, 1973, at Zouérat, Mauritania. Sahrawi culture is a mix of Berber, Black African and Arab elements. Said to total less than 250,000 souls in Morocco, and 25,000 refugees in Mauritania.
