This is like a scene from one of those highlight reels of fistfights or chair-throwing on the legislature floor - the kind you see coming out of a place like Turkey or the Philippines or Ecuador or Bumfukistan.

Don't know what we expect, though. When was the last time Congress passed a budget, a Constitutionally mandated duty? Do thy have any conception at all of the amount of money they are making up out of thin air that can never and will never be paid back?

It's theater, all of it, and bad partisan theater at that. It will go on until we hit the wall, which will happen the way Hemingway described going bankrupt:

"Gradually, at first, then suddenly."
