#1 probably a violation of campaign finance law since they didn't report their activity as a contribution but this takes years to investigate and adjudicate

#2 So I followed this link to the Daily Bell and then followed the link there to Molly Ball's piece at the Time Magazine site so I could read the whole piece. There I found the following:

There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.

AFL-CIO, huh? Then I remembered an article from yesterday's Rantburg about how Biden's agenda is smashing into reality in which I found the following:

Richard Trumka, the head of the AFL-CIO that spent millions to get Biden elected, excoriated the new president's climate policies this past weekend for erasing thousands of well-paying union jobs with the shutdown of the Keystone pipeline from Canada.

Hope you get everything you wanted, Trumka. Good and hard.
