BOULDER, Colo. - Syrian Mass murderer Al Aliwi Issa was allowed to legally buy a firearm and pass a background check just six days prior to his shooting.

Al Aliwi Issa’s Facebook profile, before being removed, was full of posts mentioning “Islamaphobia” and he greatly criticized Trump’s work to stop terrorism. The FBI is still saying a motive is not known.

If his mental health issues were not reported, and his juvenile record was sealed, there would be nothing on record to support blocking the purchase.

The family knew about his problems, but saw no issue with him having a gun in a house where there must have been others— just with him playing with it in public. He went a-jihading with two guns, it was reported, so it seems likely he’d taken the other gun from the family stash.
