Where have they been the last 6 months.

Who to blame?
The Socialcrats and a number of Foreign owned food producers growing/raising food items here in the USA for export.

eg. Smithfield Foods is a CCP owned company.

Why?

Some Quick Examples:

1.) Halting/Restricting US Oil production naturally causes Higher fuel prices. Higher fuel prices cause delivery costs to increase.

2.) Doubling Min Wage increases labor coss across the whole commercial food industry.

3.) Massive DEFICIT spending decreases the buying power for imported goods, thus raising costs.

A bonus answer... Logic says if you export massive amounts of anything, it reduces local inventories and availability. So even if local demand remains the same, it results in shortages and prices increases.

#2 ..all yes, but it also allows for (Soviet Central Planning) price controls. What politician doesn't want that? If you want to control every aspect of the proles lives, it's a given (along with shortages, black markets, et al).

#3 I am sure many foresaw the supply and logistical issues around the politically induced Scamdemic.

I am sure many decided to err on the side of caution and have been purchasing an extra week of canned goods every a month. Likely many started last year and got canned foods with best by dates of 2+ years out. To tide themselves over to the next election, when the USA has a very carefully monitored election against the Socialist-Democrats that clearly stole the last one.

#4 Vendors I've talked to say higher prices on much less product they can deliver. 100 case order from Pepsi and you are delivered 25. Coke having problems as well as is Frito. This is not going away anytime soon.
