#7 No doubt he would have realized about the disease angle, had he thought about it — lack of vaccinations being a characteristic of Third World countries — but I have no doubt it never occurred to him to think about it. Because thinking about it would require accepting the premise that America is superior in at least one way that matters. (And if in one way, than possibly in others, as well.)
