#1 Her highness could have made a dent in the problem by establishing a 10pm to 5am curfew on those under 18 which is where the problem was with the shootings she uses as a excuse. She doesn't want real solutions, only more power.

#2 ^ Yes. Also could come down hard on violations of existing laws. That's not happening in places like Chicago, DC, Baltimore, etc. despite the ostentatious establishment of "gun violence task-forces."

The whole "Do something" screeching is counterproductive. I've often said that if you have to "do something," just order everyone to wear purple socks. That is "doing something," and it will probably be less harmful in the long run than the other "something" that politicians do.
