#2 Biden said he responded by saying, "I don’t want to take your gun, you’re allowed to have a gun, but I want to take your ability to use and ’assault weapon.'"

Heh. I never shoot fish with an assault weapon anyway...
unless I'm out of dynamite and hand grenades.

#3

I don't own a 200 round clip.
But I might own a few 8+ clips and a 50 rd drum that jams a lot ☺.

Besides, aren't JB and family guarded by SS agents carrying well over least 200+ rounds and other neat Self-Defense toys?

How about we start a Self-Defense equality movement?
That imposes and restricts all DC Swamp Creature the same as they do the Honest Voting US Citizenry?

#5 Eldest son said a guy in his platoon showed up with a 200 round snail mag in Afghanistan. They let him carry it on patrol. Only took one trip, and he put it back in the box. Turns out it weighs like 5 boxes of ammunition. (There is a reason why you can change magazines...)

#6 That and they're pretty bulky, Ed. Not easy to manage in tight situations.

Kind of like a 18" blade on a knife. Looks scary, but that's about it. They'd be okay for skinning a deer or something, though.

#7 My Glock has 12 round mags + Xmag of 22.
My XDM has 20 round mags + Xmag of 35.

I carry the Glock with 2 mags, 36+1.
I shoot the Springfield with 3 mags, 95+1.

200 is a lot.

#8 How long before the winding spring in that '200 round mag' starts going bad and you start having feed jams? Do you feel like manually loading and unloading often? Impractical...

#10 Tacticool garbage. In studied incidents, the encounter was only seconds long and practically never was an entire mag dumped.

#12 Time Magazine averages 200 shells per edition.

"Who in Allah's name needs a 200 round magazine?"
-everyone hands up-

#13 In studied incidents, the encounter was only seconds long and practically never was an entire mag dumped.

There was a reason the Army altered the original M16 with an auto select switch to a three round burst select.

#15 Back in the days of the Raj, we had native bearers to carry our spare ammunition. Simpler times.

#16 And all the firearms were shotguns, howdah pistols and double rifles. Real men relied on steady nerves, stalking and shot placement, not spray and pray.

#19 What we all want is that carry all that vid games have where you traverse terrain with a half an arsenal of weapons and ammo at your selection command.

#21 Well, I need one...or like 4. 500 each is better. Quad .50's don't feed themselves....oh and I need a quad .50 too. I'll mount it in the front hallway of the house, just in case.
