Treat the addicts, execute the dealers upon conviction. Allowing 1 mandatory automatic appeal not to exceed 3 years... not 20 years later or life as it is now.

#3 An interesting development. Maine used to be up near Canada. Recently, with Trump's tariffs vs fentanyl move, we have gotten some idea of the extent of China's involvement in Canadian government and other even scurrilous things. Perhaps there is a CCP connection here. Or it could just be the usual transnational criminal gangs.

It is left as an exercise for the Reader to distinguish national governments from criminal cartels.

#5 And then there is the unprecedented demand driven by woke nonsense -the hopeless nihilism - indoctrinated into our young students. They need true meaning in their lives, not drugs.

As an aside, marijuana was legalized here 3 years ago.

#7 What we've seen in the past, particularly four years, is that our area has turned into a wholesale distribution hub.

The past four years? You mean the Biden administration?

#8 This last year or so we have been reading about illegal Chinese marijuana grows in Maine. I guess fentanyl goes along with the Chinese growers.
