One Killed, Seven Injured in Jalalabad Explosion

[ToloNews] At least one person was killed and seven others were maimed on Saturday in a kaboom in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar

Eyewitnesses said the blast was due to a mine placed in a street vase.
Provincial hospital officials said one person was killed and seven others were maimed and all were transferred to the hospital. They did not give any details about the identity of those killed and maimed.

Local officials have not been reached for comment.
Eyewitnesses said civilians and Taliban members are among those maimed.
The explosion comes as over the last two days eight bodies have been found in different areas of Jalalabad city.
No group has grabbed credit for the attack.
But it’s probably the local branch of ISIS — they’ve claimed recent kabooms in Jalalabad.

An official at Nangarhar provincial hospital said the bomb killed a Taliban militant and wounded seven others, including four civilians. He spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not allowed to speak to media.
