Explosion at factory in Homs blamed on Israel

[GEO.TV] A blast was heard in a factory in the Syrian city of Homs, the state news agency reported on Sunday, adding that the cause is still being investigated.

The state news agency also reports that an Israeli airstrike targeted three cars carrying medical and relief materials in Syria's Homs.

[GEO.TV] Syrian air defence was intercepting 'hostile targets' in the country's central region on Sunday evening, state media said.

"Our air defence systems are intercepting hostile targets in the airspace of the central region" of the country, the official SANA news agency said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor reported "Israeli strikes" causing explosions in Homs province, central Syria.

The strikes caused "material losses," SANA says.

The pro-government Sham FM radio says the airstrikes were carried out in the Homs area.
