Israeli drone strikes kill two in Ain Baal, Yater
[NAHARNET] Israeli strikes on two different locations in south Leb
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. Only one of those statements is an exaggeration....
killed two people Wednesday, the latest attacks despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

An Israeli enemy drone struck a car in the southern town of Ain Baal in the coastal district of Tyre and few hours later another drone targeted a car in the southern town of Yater.

The Israeli army said its forces struck a Hezbollah operative in the Tyre area, saying he was "responsible for establishing the necessary infrastructure for the production of precise surface-to-surface missiles in the area".

The health ministry later said an Israeli strike on the southern town of Yater "killed one person and maimed another".

An official from Yater said the strike killed a man who was using a bulldozer to remove debris from his home which was damaged during the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the state-run National News Agency reported.

It was the third consecutive day of Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Israel said it killed two Hezbollah members over the past two days.

An Israeli quadcopter also dropped Wednesday four bombs on the al-Ain area east of the southern town of Kfarshouba.

Israel has kept up strikes on Lebanon despite the November truce that sought to halt more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah including two months of full-blown war.

The ceasefire agreement states that only U.N. peacekeepers and the Lebanese Army should be deployed in the south, though Israel has retained troops in five areas it deems strategic.

Lebanon has called on the international community to pressure Israel to end its attacks and withdraw its remaining troops.

Deputy U.S. Middle East envoy Morgan Ortagus said on Tuesday that Lebanon still has "more" to do in disarming Hezbollah following the war.
