[Libya Observer] Clashes broke out Sunday afternoon in Venicia street in Benghazi, eastern Libya, between a Criminal Investigation Department force of the interior ministry at the Interim Government and al-Zawiya Martyrs Brigade of Khalifa Haftar
...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy. Sources reported that a Criminal Investigation Department officer was killed along with an Egyptian national, while another person was injured.

Eyewitnesses reported to the media that the armed forces from both sides blocked the roads leading to the festivities' zone.

Nigeria: Four Killed As Suicide Bombers Target Borno Mosque
[All Africa] At least four persons were killed and eight others injured as two jacket wallahs attacked a mosque in Bama town of Borno State in the early hours of Sunday, officials have said.

The attack comes about three weeks after the Borno State Government sanctioned the return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the badly destroyed community which was reclaimed from the Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
The Sunday attack was the first since the return of Bama IDPs. But it has rekindled public concern on the security around the community, the second largest in Borno State after Maiduguri, the state capital.

Just before the IDPs were returned to Bama, the Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, was in Bama on a two days working visit.

During his stay in Bama, the military command there informed the governor that although the town has been secured, the security around it was "unpredictable."

Notwithstanding the caution, the displaced persons, eager to return to their normal lives, were allowed to return to Bama.

The chairperson of the Borno State emergency management agency (SEMA), Yabawa Kolo, said four persons died and eight others were maimed in the early Sunday morning attack. The dead included the two suicide bombers.

Earlier, sources from Bama who broke the news on social media indicated that the attackers were two young people, who sneaked into a mosque in the community during an early morning prayer.

One resident of Bama said the attack took place "at a mosque around BAMA Dina area of Shehuri /Mairi/ Hausari ward of Bama town."

"The victims evacuated to military hospital for further treatment of serious injuries," Abba Masta said.

"Serious emergency medical attention needed with possible need of transportation to secondary health facility in Maiduguri for the survivors," Mr Masta, an active community leader in Bama, said.

He said medical services and facilities are still limited in the reclaimed town.

"Currently, no any ambulance in Bama to aid the transportation of the survivors. But we are currently making follow up to military 21 brigade for possible assistance," he said.

UAE passenger plane intercepted by Qatari fighter jet
[ALMASDARNEWS] The United Arab Emirates has stated that Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
’s fighter jets had intercepted a civilian plane heading for Bahrain with 86 passengers aboard, according to the media.

The WAM added that the UAE civilian aircraft had to manoeuvre to avoid a collision.

This is not the first case, as similar incidents have occurred earlier. In March, the UAE aviation authority reported about two Qatari jets coming dangerously close to two civilian aircraft from the Emirates. In January, according to the United Arab Emirates, Qatari jets had twice intercepted Emirati civilian aircraft; however, Doha refuted the allegations.

These cases prompted the United Arab Emirates to lodge an official complaint against Qatar with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) over the country’s jets intercepting Emirati civilian aircrafts.

2 Bedouin Israelis arrested for allegedly selling IDF guns to Palestinians

Two Bedouin Israelis were nabbed

last month for allegedly selling guns that were stolen from army bases to a weapons dealer in the southern West Bank, police revealed on Sunday.

The suspected Paleostinian arms merchant, from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron,
...Hamas Central in the West Bank...
was also arrested in March, police said.

Indictments were filed against the two Israeli suspects on April 9, and the Paleostinian suspect was charged on Sunday.

With the final indictment, the gag order that had been put on the case was removed.

The two Bedouin Israelis, from the village of Aroer in the northern Negev desert, were arrested in March. They were suspected of selling guns ‐ some of them stolen from army bases in the Negev ‐ to the Yatta man, the police said.

The Paleostinian suspect is believed to "sell weapons on a very large scale" in the West Bank, according to the police statement.

A third Arab Israeli citizen was also arrested for allegedly helping facilitate the arms sales between the Negev and the West Bank.

The arrests were part of a joint operation by the Israel Police and Shin Bet security service.

During their investigation, police did not uncover any of the army weapons, but found two makeshift Carlo-style submachine guns and some magazines.

Army bases in the Negev desert are routinely robbed, often by Bedouin Israelis who live nearby. Though the problem is well known, it has gone mostly unaddressed. Due to their locations ‐ far from cities and towns ‐ there is generally limited police presence in the area, and the military is limited in its ability to arrest would-be thieves.

[IsraelTimes] A member of Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,’s military wing was reportedly killed Sunday in a tunnel collapse near Deir al-Balah in the central Gazoo Strip.

Reports in Paleostinian media identified the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades member as Thaer Nayef al-Zaraie.

It was not immediately clear if the tunnel was an attack tunnel crossing the border into Israel or part of the warren of defensive fortifications Hamas has built across the Strip.

Several members of the Hamas terrorist group have been killed or injured in accidental blasts and tunnel collapses in recent years. In 2017, Hamas said 22 members of its armed wing were killed in tunnel-related accidents.

(IS) bully boyz were killed on Sunday after Iraqi warplanes targeted their terrorist hotbed located in Syria, a front man for the Iraqi Security Media Council was quoted as saying.

Alghdad Press quoted Brig. Gen. Yehia Rasool as saying in a statement that Iraqi Air Forces launched a series of Arclight airstrikes on Syrian territories using F-16 jets to eliminate Islamic State terrorists, who were planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Iraq.

According to the statement, the air raids left 36 IS bully boyz dead, including six big shots who were gathering at one of their hotbeds inside Syria.
The Times of Israel adds:
A video of Thursday’s operation showed two F-16 fighter jets destroying a house in eastern Syria..

"According to our information, the raids took place while there was a meeting of terrorist leaders and it achieved its goal with the death of 36 of them," General Yahya Rasool, front man for the Joint Operations Command (JOC), which coordinates the fight against IS in Iraq, says.

The US-led coalition battling IS jihadists confirmed the raid, which took place near the town of Hajin in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor, about 30 miles from the Iraqi border.

"These raids prove Iraq’s commitment to destroy the remnants of IS that continue to threaten citizens," Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s office said on Thursday, adding that the operation was planned and executed by JOC, with support from the coalition.

[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] Pro-regime Paleostinian paramilitary group mourned three officers said they had been killed by former al-Qaeda group as the regime stepped up efforts to wipe out the insurgency's last foothold south of the capital.

The Militia of Fateh al-Intifada has engaged in fierce festivities with Tahrir al-Sham

Tahrir al-Sham said it had killed more than 20 Paleostinian fighters loyal to Bashir al-Assad since the festivities erupted four days ago.

On Sunday, the regime warplanes carried out fresh air strikes on the southern neighborhoods of Damascus. Local activists said more than 200 raids were conducted since Thursday.

Thick clouds of smoke rose from the al-Hajar al-Aswad district as the sound of jets could be heard overhead in the live broadcasts from the area.

The area is part of an enclave just south of Damascus that includes Yarmouk camp and is controlled by Lion of Islam holy warriors from ISIS (ISIS) and the Nusra Front.

In the southern countryside of jihadist-controlled Idlib province, the al-Qaeda-linked Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham
killed Muhammad Abu al-Biishr, the son of Suqour al-Sham military commander Aby Ayssa al-Sheikh during festivities in Mariyan town.

This sparked outrage amid the FSA-affiliated faction which vowed vengeance.

Suqour al-Sham is part of Syrian Liberation Front (Jabhat Tahrir Souriya) alliance which also includes Ahrar al-Sham
...a Syria jihadi group made up of Islamists and salafists, not that there's that much difference, formed into a brigade. They make up the main element of the Islamic Front but they don't profess adoration of al-Qaeda and they've been fighting (mainly for survival) against the Islamic State. Their leadership was wiped out at a single blow by a suicide kaboom at a crowded basement meeting in September, 2014...

Ferocious battles broke out between the two warring parties across south Idlib and west Aleppo countryside , with both sides exchange control over several towns and villages, while sustain heavy losses.

In the same context, HTS security chief Abu al-Baraa was assassinated by person or persons unknown by opening fire at his vehicle near Hader town, south Aleppo countryside.

[ALMASDARNEWS] An estimated 6,000 Jaish al-Islam
...Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam) was established by Zahran Alloush, the son of Saudi-based religious scholar Abdullah Mohammed Alloush, after Syrian authorities released him from prison in mid-2011 where he had been serving time for his Salafist activism. The group claimed responsibility for carrying out the July 2012 Damascus bombing that killed Defense Minister Dawoud Rajiha, Deputy Defense Minister Asef Shawkat, and Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani. It was a driving force behind actions in the Damascus region. It cooperated and conducted joint operations with al-Nusra. In Sptember 2013 Saudi Arabia engineered Liwa al-Islam's merger with fifty other more or less Salafist groups as a counterweight to al-Nusra, which the Learned Elders of Islam considered was growing too powereful...

[ALMASDARNEWS] It is going to be another long night for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....

According to local sources, the Syrian military began using their Goulan-1000 missiles against the Islamic State forces in southern Damascus tonight.

These Syrian-manufactured missiles have been the source of the powerful kabooms and deafening sounds that are coming from the southern Damascus districts
