Alan, it's only bad for business if you don't get paid before you kill them.
This way it's not unlike the long range business plan used by Goldman-Sacks.

Megadeath - 35 yrs and still touring
Ima wondering - is Dave Mustaine still an asshole? He got kicked out of Metallica because of it. Well, at least in part.
[THEHERALD.AU] Singapore will bear some of the cost of the planned summit between US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... and North Korean leader Kim Pudge Jong-un ...the overweight, pouty-looking hereditary potentate of North Korea. Pudge appears to believe in his own divinity, but has yet to produce any loaves and fishes, so his subjects remain malnourished... , its defence minister Ng Eng Hen says, a day after Trump put the meeting back on agenda.
Kim's trip to Singapore, which would be the furthest he would have travelled as leader, poses logistical challenges that are likely to include using Soviet-era aircraft to carry him and his limousine, as well as dozens of security and other staff.
The Washington Post reported earlier that some unresolved logistical issues relating to the summit were who would pay the hotel bills of the leader of the cash-strapped country, whose economy has been squeezed by a series of UN and unilateral sanctions for its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
Singapore, a small but wealthy Southeast Asian city-state, is determined to successfully host the summit and is willing to foot at least some of the bill.
"Obviously yes, but it is a cost that we're willing to bear to play a small part in this historic meeting," Ng told news hounds on Saturday without elaborating, when asked if Singapore will be bearing the cost of the summit, which is scheduled for June 12.
Kim Chang Son, the de facto chief of staff for the North Korean government was seen this week at The Fullerton, a centrally located, five-star hotel that is a refurbished government building overlooking the Singapore river. Media reports said he was in Singapore to meet US officials to work out logistics for the summit

Frank in Singapore 7-11 a 2 pack of 12 oz Tiger Beer is $14.75.
Most booze bottles are about 7x the cost of the same bottle in the USA.
Average drink price at a hole in the wall is $8, and at an average eatery on the Singapore River Walk about $15.
An average single meal and drinks on that walk is about $55.
At Jumbo seafood a small diner for 8 with 2 crabs ran $605 last week.
Now if they are willing to go to this dive they can get better food for 4 for $70. (about 165 New Bridge Road)

We stayed at Park Avenue Robertson facing Kim Yan Rd. Nice suite digs right in the heart of the tourist district. A good location for walking or subway in the city. 2 weeks there was nice.
Subway is incredibly cheap, clean and prompt there.
Sims are cheap if you have a unlocked phone. $15 for a tourist 1 month SIM with a 4gb data service.

Starbucks is one of the cheaper coffee places also not high on anybody's list.
Common Grounds is a medium scale one. About 8$ for a plain cup of joe more for fancy.
Nitrogen infused coffee at the better places starts at $12. Cold brewed about $10. (remember Singapore is hot and humid so beer or a cocktail mix is prefered drink.)
Soda is usually $7-$8 per glass.
The Singapore Slings on the viewing platform on the (oops forbidden rantburg word) are very good. Don't take a Singapore citizen into the gaming rooms. They are required to pay the government $100 every time they enter.

In Singapore's ChinaTown the China Point mall has the best air conditioning so make it an anchor when wandering that area. Remember avg temps are 85-90F with %98 humidity. Also, it has a subway entrance.
The ped overpass in that area are quite useful to avoid the car traffic. There is an excellent few blocks of open air restaurants in Chinatown next to the Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple called "Chinatown Food Street" One should eat there a few times.
[DAWN] Chief Justice of Pakistain Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered inspector general of Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... to provide security to Ayesha Ahad ‐ the woman who claims to be the spouse of PML-N politician Hamza Shahbaz and accuses former provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah of harassing and threatening her.
The matter was taken up by the court after Ayesha, in her individual capacity, had contacted the chief justice a day earlier and told him how her and her daughter's lives were under threat. At this, the chief justice had asked her to appear in the Supreme Court's Lahore registry today.
After the court's proceedings began on Saturday, the chief justice, while presiding a two-member bench, summoned Hamza to appear in the court at 1pm and directed the advocate general Punjab to ensure his presence.
"We cannot see anyone's life under threat," Justice Nisar remarked.
Later in the day, the advocate general told the chief justice that Hamza is out of the country and is expected to return in three to four days.
The chief justice, following the development, instructed the IGP to provide security to Ayesha and ordered for her complaint record to be submitted to the court by June 6. He also ordered Hamza to personally appear in the court at its next hearing.
Ayesha, who is the daughter of a PML-Q leader, claims that in October 3, 2011 Hamza and his father Shahbaz Sharif ...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab... had registered a ’false and baseless case’ against her, following which she and her daughter were locked away Book 'im, Mahmoud! by police and subjected to torture. She had claimed that her only fault was that she wanted Hamza to recognise her as his wife.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) had released her on bail on October 7 that year and had also ordered the police high-ups to take action against the police personnel involved in torturing Ayesha.
But the sessions court's directives for action against Ayesha's torturers was never acted upon ‐ at which Justice Nisar expressed his irritation today.
The chief justice ordered for an immediate filing of a first information report (FIR) against those nominated in Ayesha's complaint ‐ including Hamza ‐ and also called for the names of the coppers who had prevented any action from being taken against the court's earlier directive.

[DAWN] Police on Saturday said they were still searching for a man who allegedly stripped naked a minor girl in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. 's Hashtnagri area earlier this week.
Posts on social media had claimed that a 10-year-old girl, following an altercation between children, was paraded naked in the area after being stripped. This prompted Peshawar's District Nazim Mohammad Asim Khan to visit the victim's family last night and ask the police to ensure arrest of the accused.
However, it was a brave man who first ate an oyster... Wajid Shah, station house officer (SHO) of Shaheed Gulfat Hussain Police Station, told DawnNewsTV on Saturday that the incident had been "exaggerated" on social media.
According to Shah, the girl ‐ 16-year-old ‐ was assaulted by a man who allegedly stripped her naked when she was near her home.
The issue began after a fight between two families ‐ the accused's and the victim's ‐ who both filed a complaint at the cop shoppe, said Shah.
According to the first information report (FIR), the accused ‐ a relative of the victim ‐ had allegedly stripped her naked while she was returning home with her mother from the cop shoppe.
The man bravely ran away when people of the area came to the girl's rescue, the FIR, registered under Artice 354 A [assault or use of criminal force to woman and stripping her of her clothes], said.
The girl, while talking to the media, stated that her clothes were torn and she was beaten up by the accused who escaped after the people of the area began to gather.

[Zero Hedge] - Denver police responded to the bar in the Lower Downtown district of Denver for an accidental shooting at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday. Police said the FBI agent was dancing at the bar when his firearm dislodged from its waistband holster and dropped onto the floor.
When the agent picked up the gun, "an unintended discharge occurred," striking a patron inside the club in the lower leg. "The victim was transported to the hospital with a good prognosis," Denver police said.
A video clip obtained by Denver 7, shows the reckless agent busting out dance moves in front of a dozen or more bar goers. The agent then executed a backflip, however, during the bizarre dance move, his gun ejected out of the man’s holster onto the floor. Immediately the agent lunges forward to secure the weapon, but as he picks it up the gun went off.
1) Star Wars blows, Star Trek rules.
2) Maybe the Star Wars folks will learn a lesson from the Star Trek people and not water down the franchise with a movie every single year. It's safe to say that Star Wars fatigue has set in. The more recent Star Trek reboots have been spaced out over a three / four year period, so maybe they'll figure it out.
[The Wrap] - "Solo: A Star Wars Story" is continuing to fall fast at the box office, as industry estimates project a second weekend total of just $29 million.
On its second Friday, "Solo" only made $8.1 million, a staggering 77 percent drop from the already low $35.3 million the "Star Wars" anthology film made on its opening day. Even when taking out the $14.1 million from Thursday previews that counted towards the opening Friday total, the Friday-to-Friday drop is still 62 percent.
As for the weekend downtrend, a $29 million total would be a 66 percent drop-off from the film’s $84.7 million Friday-Sunday launch. By comparison, the last "Star Wars" release, "The Last Jedi," had a drop-off of 67 percent.

Funny thing, the more I watched Lucas's develop the Jedi Orders in the Series the more I wanted to see all of those goose-stepping, mind-raping killers exterminated... Go, Empire!

Read something about the story arc of these and the guy pointed out the place where the plots went stupid. It's the words :"I am your father".
Once you threw that in, it's like nobody else in the whole universe mattered; it was only about this family.

...the Trump-hating former Air Force linguist who held a top-secret security clearance and worked as a government contractor in Augusta, Georgia, until she was charged with copying a classified report and mailing it to an online news organization...
are planning a candlelight vigil to raise the public profile of the former National Security Agency contractor accused of leaking classified material.
On June 3, exactly one year since she was imprisoned, Winner’s mother and supporters plan to gather in Lincolnton, Georgia, close to the jail where she is being held pending trial.
The 25-year-old decorated Air Force veteran is accused of passing a secret intelligence report to the Intercept that claimed the Russian military had attempted to hack voter registration systems in a bid to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.
Winner was quickly arrested by the FBI and charged under the Espionage Act with "removing classified material from a government facility." She now faces up to 10 years behind bars and $250,000 in fines.
Although she entered a plea of not guilty, Winner has been denied bail on four occasions. Federal Judge Brian Epps cited social media messages uncovered by law enforcement in which the veteran showed admiration for whistleblower Edward Snowden and Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.
Winner’s defense is currently appealing a major decision by Epps, who denied 40 of 41 requested subpoenas on April 27. The judge claimed that the subpoenas were "overly broad" in scope, seeking documents from numerous federal agencies and government departments, but Winner’s attorneys say the requested information is "essential" to their defense case.
In a press release, supporters of the accused whistleblower lament that the case is receiving little attention and hope that Sunday’s vigil might change that.
"I would invite everyone to come together to support my daughter Reality on this one-year anniversary of her arrest and jailing," the veteran’s mother, Billie Winner-Davis, said in a statement. "I do not want the world to forget her."
Winner’s trial is set to begin Oct. 15. She is set to be the first person prosecuted by the Trump administration for leaks.

Not to worry Billie. We haven't forgotten about Benedict Arnold yet and it's been over 200 years. She doesn't have the Sandy Berger defense either..."But..But..I did it for the Clinton's!"

Regardless how you feel about her behavior, delaying her trial for 16 months and not granting bail is atrocious. Release the poor girl to the oversight of her family with an ankle monitor. Keeping her in jail for 16 months awaiting trial is ludicrous and an unacceptable violation of her constitutional rights.

Hmmm...depends. How much is do to her lawyers asking for continuance?

Hmmm... keeping in jail someone that is charged with taking classified material and leaking it. You might suspect that they had more stuff to leak and/or were a flight risk, but that's just me.
