Republican Allen West narrowly leads U.S. Rep. Ron Klein in a bruising battle for South Florida's 22nd Congressional District, a new Sunshine State News Poll shows.
West leads Klein 47-44 in the survey of likely voters conducted Oct. 17-19. Nine percent of respondents are undecided.
West, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, lost by 10 points to Klein in 2008, a strong year for Democrats. But with Republicans surging this fall, West is picking up more independents, along with solid tea party support.
"West has to be the slight favorite here simply because of the turnout differential," said Jim Lee, president of Voter Survey Service, which conducted the poll for Sunshine State News.
Lee reported that Wests 3-point lead grows to 5 points among respondents who say their chances of voting are "excellent" (49-44) and 4 points among 2x voters, or those who cast ballots in both the 08 and 06 general elections (48-44).

So implant the codes sub-dermally in a Prez or tattoo them on the guys.

Anytime codes are compromised, the existing set is voided and a new set is issued immediately. Had this been anyone in uniform, it would have been an immediate career terminator. Zero tolerance and no sense of humor when dealing with nukes.

I'm guessing what Shelton meant was that the found the key package after about 6 months? I'm sure someone noted the absence of the codes much sooner than 6 months. Don't know the crypto cycle but bet it isn't 6 months.
The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) launched a new television ad Thursday blasting Nevada Republican Sharron Angle. SEIU has invested significant resources in protecting Reid this election. They have mobilized their union members in support of top Senate Democrat and have made a $500,000 contribution to the Patriot Majority Fund, a 527 group that is doing field and media work in Nevada. Hope and Change!

Everyone always says "never again", but this is exactly the thing they claim they will never stand for. So apparently it's OK when fascists only go after Jews or the Tea Party.

Very misleading headline. Look, this is SOP. The DOJ is required to investigate even marginally credible accusations of voter intimidation. (Just as they did with the Panther case.) Now, how aggressively they pursue any charges is a completely different matter.

Oh man I wanted her to come to Sacramento after she marries Kevin Johnson, establish residency, and then run against DiFi in 2012. My dream of having two 'R' Senators will have to wait.

Her marrying Kevin Johnson is a strike against her. Just ask fired Inspector General Gerald Walpin. Also, look at Kevin Johnson's Wikipedia article.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
