Federal drug agents seized enough fentanyl in 2022 to kill every American: 379million potentially fatal doses in 12 months
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The Drug Enforcement Agency said it seized 50.6million fake prescription pills

  • Fentanyl is cheap and easy to produce so is a big player in illegal drugs market

  • Potentially fatal dose is just 2mg and caused over 100,000 deaths in US last year

  • Cheap and easy to make, fentanyl replaced prescription opioids and heroin in the illegal drugs market

The DEA said the primary sources of fentanyl in the United States are the Sinaloa and Jalisco Mexican drug cartels.

Their fentanyl is manufactured in Mexico with chemicals 'largely sourced in China,' according to the DEA.

Some of it is distributed widely in the form of counterfeit prescription drugs like Percocet, OxyContin and Xanax, they said.

Some 60 percent of the counterfeit drugs laced with fentanyl that were tested by the DEA contained potentially lethal fentanyl doses, it said.

Afghanistan
Fears ISIS fighters are securing Afghan passports and changing identities
[TheNationalNews] Experts warn it will be harder to identify gunnies leaving the area

Counter-terrorism experts have raised concerns about the difficulty of tracking ISIS fighters in the future after reports some of them are changing their identities through the issuance of Afghan passports by the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) think tank said it has received reports from officials in countries neighbouring Afghanistan that the Taliban has been giving passports to gunnies following the group's takeover of the country last year.

"This will, of course, complicate the identification of potential foreign gunnies leaving Afghanistan as these will likely travel with original Afghan passports and potentially changed identities", the CEP said.

There have been fears that Afghanistan will become a safe haven for gunnies under Taliban rule.

Last year UN envoy Deborah Lyons warned that ISIS has been "increasingly active" in Afghanistan since the Taliban takeover, with a sharp rise in the number of attacks and an expanding national footprint.

"Once limited to a few provinces and Kabul, [ISIS-K] now seems to be present in nearly all provinces and is increasingly active," said Ms Lyons.

Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
-Khorasan Province (ISIS-K), the local affiliate of the radical group, has emerged as the main security threat to the Taliban since they regained control of Kabul and western forces pulled out after two decades in the country.

The Taliban have been in conflict with ISIS-K for several years due to economic and ideological differences.

CEP experts say the number of ISIS-K attacks has decreased recently but the group still poses a "significant" threat.

"The campaign of terror attacks and liquidations claimed by ISIS-K in Afghanistan seems to have slowed down slightly towards the end of 2022," they said.

"However,
Caliphornia hasn't yet slid into the ocean, no matter how hard it's tried...
nevertheless, in November, ISIS-K demonstrated its ability not only to conduct attacks in the west, north, and east of the county and, as in previous months, in Pakistain, ISIS-K also grabbed credit for an attack on a Shiite shrine in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz at the end of October, more than 1000km from the Afghan border.

"Therefore, ISIS-K remains a significant factor of insecurity within Afghanistan but increasingly also in neighbouring countries."

Army Chief: Over 150 Al-Shabaab militants killed in Somalia within a week
[Garowe] The operations against al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
turbans have heightened in Somalia, the Somali National Army [SNA] chief Odowaa Yusuf Rageh has said, noting that the military has killed over 150 murderous Moslems in the last week, the highest ever in as many months according to official records.

The battleground of the most recent epic duel was in Adan Yabal and Masjid Ali Gudud areas within the troubled Middle Shabelle which had been the breeding ground for the turbans for a long time. The military managed to secure the Adan Yabal district from the turbans after seven years of control.

General Rageh, who has at times supervised the operations on the ground, said the turbans have suffered immense losses in the crackdown, something which is now being attributed to their massive surrender to the Somali National Army across the country.

"We killed a total of over 150 al-Shabaab turbans during the operation this week, we killed 50 murderous Moslems 30 km east of Aden Yabal town and over 100 others near Masjid Ali Gudud in the same region, SNA forces with International partners intensify counter-terrorism," Rage said.

Somalia’s SNA forces together with local forces namely Ma’awisley forces liberated many areas under al-Shabaab turbans earlier in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle in the past four months. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud projects that by the end of this year, the turbans would have lost Galmadug and HirShabelle.

To supplement forces who are fighting with the holy warriors, the government of Somalia has announced plans to repatriate over 5,000 soldiers training in Eritrea

Somalia: Ex-house speaker's driver defects to Al-Shabaab
[Garowe] An elite driver attached to the immediate former speaker of the Lower House Mohammed Mursal Sheikh Osman has defected to al-Shabaab
...... the personification of Somali state failure...
holy warriors, in one of the most shocking incidents which trigger questions about the safety of VIPs in the Horn of Africa nation.

Usually, former government officials of Mursal's caliber are accorded protection with their drivers highly trained over security reasons, and the man in question is a beneficiary of the same. Mursal lost to Sheikh Madobe during the epic house leadership battle this year.

While receiving news about the defection, Mursal noted that he was extremely mesmerized by the turn out of events, adding that "this is completely unexpected". He said throughout their cooperation he has never noticed "funny behavior and elements of extremism".

A video making rounds in social media platforms showed the driver acknowledging that he had since shifted his allegiance to al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda-linked group causing havoc in central and southern Somalia. The group is struggling to topple the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia.

In his interview with the Voice of America, the man claimed his decision to join the group was motivated by "personal security" concerns which he did not elaborate and the "insufficient" pay from the government. Such motivations for joining the group are synonymous.

Mursal said the defector had been trained as a VIP driver and could drive the armored vehicles donated by the US government to the federal government of Somalia. He underwent the training before being transferred to the office of the former speaker.

Asked about whether the man was involved in a recent complex attack targeting a hotel next to the presidential palace and fled as a result, the former speaker said he was waiting for the findings of an investigation by security agencies.

The al-Shabaab bandidos murderous Moslems are currently on the receiving end, forcing quite a number of them to run away from the country following massive operations in central Somalia and southern regions. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud recently said it is "just a matter of time" before the national army takes full control of HirShabelle and Galmadug.

First batch of Somalia's Eritrean-trained commandos land in Mogadishu
[Garowe] After over three years of training, the first batch of Eritrea
...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age...
n-trained Somali soldiers have arrived in the capital Mogadishu, Defense minister Abdulkadir Mohammed Nur told news hounds, just a day after a pre-recorded video of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud preempting the arrangements emerged.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had visited Eritrea twice to check on the progress of the over 5,000, in what came after months of electioneering period where the clandestine training of the soldiers was exposed and widely criticized the several opposition leaders at that time including Sheikh Mohamud.

The former administration of Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo sneaked the soldiers to Eritrea in three batches and their plight would resurface in Somalia following complaints by their families. There were also claims that they engaged directly in the Tigray massacre but there was no incriminating evidence.

Although they had completed training around 2021, they stayed behind a little longer perhaps due to rising political temperatures in Mogadishu. Opposition leaders had claimed that there was a plot to sneak them back to the country purposely to "rig" elections.

In a presser in Mogadishu, the Somali defense minister said the soldiers would participate in ongoing offensive operations against the krazed killer Islamist group al-Shabaab
...... al-Qaeda's tentacle in East Africa...
. The offensive is in the fourth month and has registered significant successes.

"These troops will take part in the fight against Khawarij [Al-Shabaab]... Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud traveled to Eritrea twice as part of efforts aimed at ensuring the return of the soldiers to become part of ongoing operations," Somali minister of defense Abdulkadir Mohammed Nur said.

"The government will continue ... the development, enhancing quality and training of the Somali army, which continues to play a pivotal role in the fight against Khawarij."

Over the weekend, the Somali National Army announced that over 150 turbans had been killed in central and southern Somalia just after the historical takeover of Adan Yabal District from the turbans after over six years of dominance. President Hassan Sheikh believes a number of states will be fully liberated from al-Shabaab by the end of this year.

Repatriation and subsequent integration of the soldiers from Eritrea are expected to be completed by the end of January next year, Hassan Sheikh had said. The commandos, including those in the new services of the Navy and Air Force, will be expected to reinforce those on the battlefield across the country.

Yemen preparing case for International Criminal Court against Saudi-led coalition
by Emad Almarshahi

The Minister of Human Rights, Ali Al-Dailami, affirmed that Sana’a is ready to submit the crimes of theUS- Saudi-Emirati aggression to the International Criminal Court.

“We are ready to request the international tribunal and our cases are ready, the only problem is the protection that America provides to criminals,” he said. He explained that the American and British role is the most dangerous in obstructing cases demanding the prosecution of criminals.

He pointed out that the international community and UN Security Council represent a problem with the human rights issue, considering that the Security Council represent part of the problems facing the movement to expose violations and crimes of US-Saudi aggression.

The Minister of Human Rights stated that there are more than 170 Arab and international organizations that issued statements calling for holding the US-Saudi aggression accountable for its crimes in Yemen.

COAS visits soldiers injured in Bannu operation
[DAILYTIMES.PK] Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir Wednesday visited soldiers injured in an operation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu, the military’s media wing said.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the army chief met the injured officers and soldiers at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Rawalpindi. The soldiers were maimed during an operation conducted to free the hostages held by holy warriors at a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) facility in Bannu.

While remaining with them for "some time", the COAS inquired about their well-being and appreciated their high spirit and morale. He also lauded their professionalism during the operation against terrorists. Militants overpowered the CTD personnel stationed at the centre last Sunday and held them hostage for three days. Coming into action, the Pakistain Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) stormed the facility Tuesday. As a result of the operation, 25 bad boyz were potted, two arrested, and seven surrendered, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said.

However,
women are made to be loved, not understood...
a junior commissioned officer and two sepoys were martyred — Subedar Major Khursheed Akram, Sepoy Saeed, and Sepoy Babar — while 10 soldiers, including three officers, were maimed in the action, the military’s spokesperson said. He expressed the security forces’ resolve to wipe out terrorism, adding sacrifices by the brave deaders further bolster the determination. Maj Gen Sharif further said that the latest wave of terrorism from the western border will not be allowed to emerge. "Whoever comes against us will be crushed," he warned.

Pakistani professor picked by UN to investigate Iran protests crackdown
[DAILYTIMES.PK] On Tuesday, the United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
named three women to lead a rights investigation into Iran’s violent mostly peaceful crackdown on women-led protests, which have roiled the Islamic republic for more than three months.

The fact-finding mission will be led by Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer Sara Hossain, Pak law professor Shaheen Sardar Ali, and Argentine rights activist Viviana Krsticevic, according to UN Human Rights Council head Federico Villegas.

The investigation will be led by Hossain, a long-time human rights

activist, according to the council presidency.

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
is highly unlikely to allow the trio to enter the country and carry out their mission, with Tehran fiercely opposing the creation of the international investigation that 47 rights council members voted for last month.

The three women will document the Iranian authorities’ repression of the protests and potential human rights violations with a view to possible legal action against officials in Iran or elsewhere.

Mass protests have swept across the country since September, following the death in jug of Iranian-Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini, resulting in violent mostly peaceful and sometimes deadly festivities with security forces.

The 22-year-old was arrested by Iran’s morality police for allegedly breaking strict rules about correctly wearing the Islamic headscarf, sparking nationwide protests in support of women’s rights.

Authorities have executed some protesters and sentenced others to death for their roles in what they call riots instigated by arch-foes Israel and the United States.

Human rights organizations say legal procedures have been rushed and confessions obtained under torture.

The United Nations estimates that around 14,000 people have been arrested since mid-September, while Oslo-based NGO Iran Human Rights says 469 protesters have been killed.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
At mass funeral, furious Gazans blame Hamas for drowning of migrants
[IsraelTimes] Thousands of people on Sunday joined the funerals of eight young Paleostinian men who drowned off the coast of Tunisia nearly two months ago, as they tried to sail to new lives in Europe.

The drownings have reverberated across Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, drawing attention to the dire conditions in the territory after a 15-year Israeli-Egyptian blockade, and also prompting some rare public criticism of the ruling Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, terror group.

"The government that governs us here is the reason. It’s to blame. It’s to blame," said Naheel Shaath, whose 21-year-old son Adam was among the dead. "I blame all officials here who don’t care for the youths or provide job opportunities for them."

Israel and Egypt imposed the blockade after Hamas seized control of Gaza from the internationally recognized Paleostinian Authority in 2007.

Israel says the closure, which restricts the movement of people and goods in and out of the territory, is needed to prevent Hamas from arming itself. Israel and its Western allies have branded Hamas, an Islamic group sworn to Israel’s destruction, a terrorist group. Critics say the blockade amounts to collective punishment.

The blockade has stifled the economy of Gaza, where unemployment hovers near 50 percent, and residents are usually quick to blame Israel for the difficult conditions. But increasingly, families have begun to complain about Hamas’s leadership, citing the high taxes, its heavy-handed rule, and a growing stream of leaders, including its supreme leader, Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
, who have moved abroad to more comfortable places with their families.

"Our children are drowning in the sea and their children are enjoying luxury. Isn’t this unfair?" Mrs. Shaath said.

The eight men who were buried Sunday, all from the southern town of Khan Younis, were among about two dozen Paleostinians who drowned over the past three months en route to Europe.

In the past few years, thousands of migrants colonists from poverty-stricken or war-ravaged countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Afghanistan have perished in the dangerous crossing of the Mediterranean Sea.

Mrs. Shaath said her son had studied hairdressing, but could not find a decent job. Even when he was hired at a local barber shop, he earned just 10 shekels, or about $3, a day.

"If there was work here for those sad youths, would they have left and migrated?" she said.

He followed a path taken by thousands before him, fleeing to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, one of the few countries that accept Paleostinians from Gaza, on a perilous journey meant to reach Europe.

From Turkey, he went to Egypt and then to Libya. The family said it lost contact with him on October 4, holding out hopes that he had somehow made it to Belgium. But the bad news came on October 24: he was on a boat that sank off the coast of Tunisia.

According to the Geneva-based nonprofit Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, around 360 people from Gaza have either died or gone missing in the Mediterranean on smuggling ships since 2014.

The bodies of the eight Paleostinians on Adam’s boat were returned to Gaza on Sunday, through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt. Eight ambulances carried the bodies to a hospital, where thousands of wailing people joined a mass funeral.

The procession broke down into smaller funerals, as each family took its son home for a final goodbye before the burial.

The al-Shaers, another family, buried their son, 21-year-old Mohammed. But his younger brother, Maher, 20, is still missing. They were on the same doomed boat.

Their mother, Amina, blamed Hamas for the family’s misery.

"What do we see in Gaza? We only see oppression," she said. "They are suffocating the youth and the youth flee because of their suffocation."

US hits more Iranian officials with human rights sanctions
[AnNahar] The Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us...
has slapped sanctions on Iran's chief prosecutor, four other Iranian officials and a company that supports the country's security forces for their roles in an ongoing violent mostly peaceful crackdown on antigovernment protests.

The Treasury Department announced it is targeting the Prosecutor-General of Iran, Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, two senior commanders in Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps, and two members of the Basij, a paramilitary volunteer group that often enforces strict rules on dress and conduct.

"We denounce the Iranian regime's intensifying use of violence against its own people who are advocating for their human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
," Treasury said in a statement, noting that Montazeri has presided over prosecutions of protesters some of whom have been executed or condemned to death.

It identified the IRGC commanders as Hassan Hassanzadeh, the head of its forces in Tehran, and Seyed Sadegh Hosseini, who runs its Beit-al Moghadas Corps of Kurdistan province. The two Basij members are the group's deputy coordinator, Hossein Maroufi, and Moslem Moein, its cyberspace chief, it said.

Treasury said it is also penalizing the Imen Sanat Zaman Fara Company, which produces armored vehicles and other equipment for the security forces. The sanctions freeze any assets that those targeted may have in U.S. jurisdictions and bar Americans from doing business with them.

Iran
...They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has been rocked by protests since the Sept. 16 death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died after being detained by the morality police. The protests have since morphed into one of the most serious challenges to the theocracy installed by the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Security forces have violent mostly peacefully cracked down on the protests, killing more than 500 protesters and arresting over 18,000, according to Human Rights Activists in Iran, a group that has been closely monitoring the unrest. More than 60 security forces have been killed, according to the group.

"The United States continues to support the people of Iran in the face of this brutal repression, and we are rallying growing international consensus to hold the regime accountable," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

"Thousands of brave Iranians have risked their lives and their liberty to protest the regime's long record of oppression and violence," he said. "We again call on Iran's leadership to immediately cease its violent mostly peaceful crackdown and to listen to its people."

Over 500 ISIS-linked people repatriated from Rojava in 2022: Official figure
[Rudaw] Kurdish administration in northeast Syria (Rojava) on Thursday announced that over 500 children and women affiliated to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) have been repatriated by their countries in 2022.

Rojava’s foreign office told news hounds on Thursday that 515 people from more than a dozen countries have been repatriated from the region’s camps since January. This does not include hundreds of ISIS-affiliated families returned by the Iraqi government.

Tajikistan had the lion's share in the repatriations by returning 146 of its nationals from Rojava. It is followed by La Belle France (109) and Russia (68), according to the official figure.

Over 50,000 ISIS-linked people are held in the notorious al-Hol camp in Hasaka. Thousands others are kept in Roj camp.
