#1  It will be interesting to see how this discussion plays out over there. And congratulations to them that they've started.

The Grand Turk
Beware the 'Turkish model' of democracy
Islamic orthodoxy is a ideological beauty contest, and the winner is always the ugly guy.

#2  Bank on it. China and Pak are now partners through that tiny border. China's Syria against India.

#5  Awesome. She is a dead woman for talking to Dr. Zaius like that.

#6  Whee! Very bright, very articulate, very knowledgeable. It would be fun if she learnt to chant -- in Arabic, of course -- key passages of the Koran and Sunnah, then quote the four schools of thought on them. She is an actress, this would require a bit of practice, that's all, and with that she would shame the clerics on their own ground, not to mention overawe the rest. She made a good start when she spoke of Mohammed standing whenever a woman came into the room, and the bit about a cleric never looking at a woman.

#7  I wonder if he issued a fartwa after that exchange? She did put a beat down on the Mufti.

#8  Re: that whole china/pakistan thing. Doesn't that make those islamists supreme hypocrites? Is there a nation more un-islamic than China?

#9  Which explains why the Taliban keep destroying the schools for girls. Islam plays well as a cover for misogynist cultures [which if you note are among the poorest in the world when they're not relying upon exportable resources to sustain them].

#10  Spunky gal, and a fine rant! I can see why the mullahs are afraid of girls.

#1  F your "only human beings" cuteness.
As a Christian man, I weep for the state of Israel.

The oppositional Anti-Christ-er, and, Major Demon Soros; makes this fight difficult for a believer. But please, tell me again; just how low in esteem you hold me.
