#1  But then September 11 was itself the prime example of using America’s own resources against itself. All the enemy needed to carry out the attack was hatred, the trusting nature of its enemy and some boxcutters. All that America has learned since is that ordinary obects like boxcutters are dangerous. Maybe that’s the wrong lesson. The enemy advantage is not in material but in they way they see ordinary objects and relationships as opportunities for mayhem.

The effectiveness of the “inside attack” can go beyond tactical tactics to politics. The idea of ‘pretending to be your friend while really being your enemy’ might perfectly describe the role of Pakistan and other US allies.

#2  Treachery and deception have been a traditional part of warfare since time immemorial. America has not learned that ordinary Muslims are dangerous.

True. However, most of history is replete with the consequence of such acts which usually involve the perps disappearing into the dust of history when they lose.

That was before the Soviet program of demoralization was embraced by the journalist, educational and political classes in America.

NIMBYS, BANANAS AND GREENS
h/t Gates of Vienna
Prices at gas pumps are at some of the highest levels ever and rising. Americans want answers. In particular they want the names and numbers of those to blame. To answer that question perhaps they should simply consult the phone book or look in the mirror. Because the main culprits in the rising gas prices aren’t necessarily members of OPEC, but the American people who support policies that block new drilling and the building of new refineries on American soil. It’s that simple.

The real political parties in America are the NIMBYs (Not In My Back Yard) and the BANANAs (Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything). These two political forces are driving the future of the nation by dictating the policy agendas of the Republicans and Democrats.

...88% of the energy for America’s transportation, industry, government, and residential needs comes from oil, gas, and coal. Without them the nation shuts down. Yet there is no drive in Congress to ease regulations to allow for domestic production.

...Of course, a few well place oil wells would do much more to reduce that dependency – and actually reduce the costs at the pump. But, if you want to see a green turn blue – just suggest such a simple solution. Through pressure from environmental organizations, Congress and federal agencies have banned oil activity from more than 300 million acres of federal land onshore and more than 460 million acres offshore in the past 20 years. An estimated 67% of oil reserves and 40% of natural gas reserves are locked away on federal lands in America’s western states.

Dupe headline: None dare call it jihad
By Diana West

This Memorial Day, according to our civilian and military leadership, the Fort Hood fallen do not rate remembrance as war dead. As a result, no Purple Hearts have been awarded for military casualties (as in the 9/11 attacks), no combat death benefits are awarded their survivors, no recognition is given to Hasan's jihad. As the general says, we may never even know why they died.

This is just the way our leadership wants it -- "senseless," as President Obama put it, describing another 2009 jihadist attack that killed Pvt. William Long and wounded Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula outside a Little Rock, Ark., recruiting station. That trial, which begins in July, is currently subject to a tug of war between prosecutor Larry Jegley and defendant Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. Jegley is determined to prosecute Muhammad as "nothing but a street thug" accused of "just a drive-by shooting." Muhammad, a Muslim convert who may have studied with a jihadist imam in Yemen where he drew the attention of the FBI, is pleading, strenuously, to be tried as a confessed jihadist. Like the rest of our government, the prosecutor is pushing jihad down the memory hole.

Which makes you wonder: By next Memorial Day, who will remember?

#1  Should the occasional coward be judged as an inferior soul? Men who arent men. How do you feel about cowards?

There are Americans who are cowards. Inferior Americans. Americans who dont have the character to stand with decent Americans. You are looking at cowardice, people. Take a good look.

When you hear them say it out loud, when you see it as policy...take a look at a coward being a coward. Remember.

The men these cowards killed were Americans, and these cowards murdered Americans who were unarmed. Our decent people were killed simply for being American. Moslems killed those Americans. Unarmed Americans...just like you and your family.
Remember.

Remember which leaders dont call them Moslems...and these cowardly "leaders" do it because they are cowardly, not because they are "tolerant". You can smell Islam and you can smell a coward, they have a lot in common. And they kill those who are unarmed and helpless.
Remember.

Remember what a Moslem and a coward smell like.

You judge yourself if you forget. And you deserve what happens to you and your family if you dont call it what it is.

So if you want to be PC....be offended by calling your enemy what he is. A Moslem coward. Gutless filth.

You are afraid of hatred in yourself? How are you going to win if you dont arm the breach of Hell and load the mag and look up for what is necessary?
Cold hell.

Ever seen Obama bend over and bow? He's good at it. Are you?

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
When the Syrians burnt Nasrallah's picture
[Asharq al-Awsat] The Syrian people quickly responded to the calls made a few days ago by Hezbullies chief Hassan Nasrallah for the demonstrators to stand with the Syrian regime "of resistance", and the popular Syrian response to this was to burn pictures of Nasrallah on what was dubbed the "Friday of the Guardians of the Homeland."

This is not the first response of its kind from the Syrian protestors, indeed a slogan that was previously being chanted by the Syrian demonstrators was "No to Iran, No to Hezbullies...we want somebody who is God-fearing!" This means that Hezbullies, and its leadership's reading of the Syrian uprising has been wrong, as has been their reading of all other events in the region. It is clear that Nasrallah's reading of the situation in Syria was wrong, for just a few days after he came out to call on the Syrian people to "preserve their country" and maintain al-Assad's "regime of resistance", the Syrian people came out to burn his picture!

Therefore, we are facing several possibilities. Perhaps Nasrallah believes the official Syrian story, however this is inconceivable. Even if truly did believe the official story, this is no excuse, especially after he saw his picture being burnt by the Syrian protestors. Rather, Nasrallah should be advising the Syrian regime to change its official media discourse. The other possibility is that Nasrallah only watches the [Hezbullies affiliated] Al-Manar TV, in which case the Hezbullies leadership must use the remote control to change the channel, in the same manner that the Arab viewers have changed the channel since Hezbullies's occupation of Beirut. The Hezbullies leadership should not be watching the Iranian [Arabic language] Al-Alam TV channel, for this means that nothing has changed, rather they should be watching respectable television channels, as well as reading newspapers, which would allow them to see the bigger picture, and help them to think.

This is not cynicism, but logic, and if the Hezbullies chief paid attention to the mistakes that he made with regards to his interference in Syrian affairs he himself would agree with this! In his last speech, Nasrallah wanted to say that Hezbullies does not interfere in Syria, but the speech itself represented a gross interference in Syrian affairs, as well as an explicit defense of the Syrian regime against the oppressed Syrian people. It is enough to recall that only Hezbullies in our region condemned the imposition of sanctions on the Syrian regime and its symbols, despite everything that is happening to the Syrian people!

The other issue that Nasrallah has not paid attention to is that there is no longer any value to his speeches, for they do nothing but act as a source of condemnation for Hezbullies, harming the organization more than they help, which is something that is being proven time after time. The Hezbullies leadership has failed to notice that the group has become isolated in the region today, along with Iran which is drowning under the weight of its own internal divisions. Evidence of Hezbullies's isolation abounds, from the group's inability to form a government in Leb today, or 4 months ago, whilst it continues to be haunted by the Hariri tribunal. We now see the Syrian people rising up against the Syrian regime -- an ally to both Hezbullies and Iran -- burning images of Hezbullies chief Hassan Nasrallah. We are also witnessing Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, entering a new phase of "positive moderation" which is moving them away from Hezbullies, Iran, and Syria!

Therefore, it is clear today that either Hezbullies is not able to see all of this, or it does not believe the depth of the crisis. However following the burning of pictures of Nasrallah in Syria, Hezbullies has no excuse, and the Syrian people have called time out with regards to their interference [in Syrian affairs], not to mention the interference of other parties.

#1  Look at it this way: When Nasrallah gets bought, he stays bought.

Can't say that about many Arabs.

#1  In my opinion the Huff and Puff lefties are most likely disliked far more that any conservative. Then with a much greater percentage of the country. They are so full of themselves they are totally ignorant of that aspect. They always bully and call names. Then if that doesn't work they yell. They have an elitist propensity of self aggrandizement.
