[Fox News] Murders in the U.S. are becoming increasingly concentrated in densely populated urban centers in just a handful of counties, according to a newly released report.
Some 73% of all murders in the U.S. took place in just 5% of counties while 52% of all counties reported no murders at all, according to a Crime Prevention Research Center study published this week and provided to Fox News Digital.
"Murders in the United States occur in very small areas, and that concentration has increased since 2014," the study stated. "The concentration in 2020 is now greater than in 2010."
The report comes as a violent crime wave that ballooned in 2020 still rages in some parts of the country.
"Murder isn’t a nationwide problem," the study found. "It’s a problem in a small set of urban areas and even in those counties murders are concentrated in small areas inside them, and any solution must reduce those murders."
Fascinating
. Illinois’ Cook County, home to Chicago and about 40% of the state’s population, had the highest amount of recorded murders of any location in 2020 with a whopping 775, according to the report.
Cook County was followed by:
Los Angeles County, 691 murders
Harris County, Texas, 537 murders
Philadelphia County, 495 murders
New York City’s five counties, a combined 465 murders
Wayne County, Michigan, 379 murders
Shelby County, Tennessee, 311 murders
Maricopa County, Arizona, 299 murders
Baltimore City county, 291 murders
Dallas County, 281 murders
Marion County, Indiana, 234 murders

Tragically, those same urban densities are the places Soros has targeted for the DeFund-the-Police, No Bail, Prog DA political campaigns. Almost as if it is intentional to create chaos, gun control and a national police force!
[Sunny's Journal] Some tectonic shifts have taken place in Geopolitical power structures during the past week. The result will be the widely despised avatar "Joe Biden," being replaced as US President by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Pentagon and MI6 sources say. Also, preparations to move UN headquarters from New York to Laos have begun in earnest, CIA sources in Laos say.
These changes are taking place as the main culprits for the present dysfunctional state of the planet gather at Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum. As this report was about to go live, CIA sources say the head of this organization, Klaus Schwab Rothschild, Klaus Schwab would miss the opening of the WEF conference in Davos today "due to a health issue". Enjoy.

Always wonder why the UN was in the USA when Ponta Delgado in the Azores archipelago, would have been a better location with a lot less diplomatic immunity issues and concerns for the NYC residents.

From what I remember from the Gerald Ford era, the VP replacement process is not what everyone thinks it is. With these existing policies, Harris will not have a long shelf life as president. They are doing this earlier and for a reason that is not advantageous to them.

The main private sponsor of this office is the notorious US citizen Bill Gates, he pours just an unmeasured amount of dollars into it.
[RIA] Sometimes it seems that the modern information agenda is specially tailored so that what is really important does not fall into it. For example, while we were celebrating the old New Year in Geneva, the sixth meeting of the committee to review the health regulations of the World Health Organization was going on quietly and imperceptibly.

The WHO was an effective part of the world wide effort to eliminate smallpox and polio (the latter is not yet eradicated but that is not the fault of WHO).
Like a lot of other organizations, foundations, etc., it has been captured

/\ Keep an eye on those two friends DB and report back to us on their status....if we're still living.
[PJMedia] At least 80 county sheriffs and prosecutors have vowed not to enforce the new Illinois gun control law that bans 170 kinds of semi-automatic rifles and places limits on ammunition magazines.
"The right to keep and bear arms for defense of life, liberty and property is regarded as an inalienable right by the people," said Iroquois County Sheriff Clinton Perzee. "I, among many others, believe that [House Bill 5471] is a clear violation of the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution," he added.
Perzee said he would not use his jail to detain people solely for violating the new gun law.
"[N]either myself nor my office will be checking to ensure that lawful gun owners register their weapons with the State, nor will we be arresting or housing law abiding individuals that have been arrested solely with non-compliance of this Act," Perzee said.
Governor J.B. Pritzker reminded the sheriffs that they took an oath to uphold the law. "As law enforcement, that’s their job and I expect them to do that job," Pritzker said.
"It’s political grandstanding by elected officials. These are elected sheriffs," Pritzker said during an evening interview with MSNBC.
Illinois gun rights groups are lining up to sue the state over the law. The "Protect Illinois Communities Act" bans 170 brands of semi-automatic rifles, limits ammunition magazines in pistols and rifles, and forces those with legal semi-automatic rifles to register their guns by Jan. 1, 2024.
Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul isn’t worried about sheriffs not enforcing the law. Center Square:
Attorney General Kwame Raoul said Friday if local law enforcement won’t act, someone will.
"As law enforcement agencies, there’s overlapping jurisdiction as well, so if they don’t do their jobs, there are other people there to do the job," Raoul said.
Rhonda Ezell, who was a lead plaintiff in a case several years ago successfully challenging reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... gun restrictions, said gun owners in Illinois need to stand up for their rights.
"They don’t care what color you are, where you reside, where you live, where you work. Their goal is to disarm America and they made that very clear," Ezell told The Center Square.
What we have in Illinois is a public relations gambit versus the constitutional right to keep and bear arms. The only people who are affected by the new law are law-abiding citizens who will be forced to register their legal firearms. Are criminals and gang members going to turn in their guns or register their firearms? Pritzker and those who support him should stop talking about how "safe" Illinois is going to be after the passage of this law.

When working Scott AFB in the mid 90's. My Site Security Officer give me the paperwork and told me to acquire an Illinois State Patrol Firearms license> I was told to even to have a weapon in the trunk of the Vehicle I needed. He clearly stating Gun laws there were crazy and not like Ft. Bragg.
note: I had to drive thru East St. Louis a lot.
On the permit being issued, I was quickly, and bluntly, told it was NOT VALID in Chicago.
Why the story?
I learned that day, why LSD's feed and cared for Large Political Metro area voters. So that can they can with ease overrule the safety and rights of others.

Advice - Stay on I-70, I-55 or I-64. Don't get off. If traveling east and you accidentally missed the last Missouri exit (which is a VERY easy thing to do if you aren’t paying attention), keep driving until you're about 10 miles up the road before you turn around.
The nearby Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site is pretty safe though, and well worth the visit.

M.R.- Is Fair View Heights still safe., or is O'Fallon now the safe line?
#6
Fairview Heights is still about as safe as most any metro suburb, and full of strip malls. Hgwy 157 seems to be a fair buffer from ESL and the further east of that you get, the better.
You should still maintain situational awareness, though.

Once you get across the Wabash River headed East, Just off I-64 (10 minutes south), the 'Yellow Tavern' in historic New Harmony, IN. Pretty damn good chow and a relaxing walk around town.

Much like school hostage situations, I imagine there is some trepidation about transgressing the 'nogo' zones of home armories.

If Baraq and Joe could refuse to enforce US immigration laws then so can the county sheriffs. I see the beginning of a trend.

I had to drive thru East St. Louis a lot.
After driving thru the tornado in Kansas, Pan and I returned thru St. L. Late night, we referred to the map looking for a route thru the untimely exit. Not much later, we looked at each other and agreed we should turn the map light off.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
