HT Insty - our dumbest, yet arrogant, VP evah
The Federal Election Commission has penalized Vice President Joe Bidens 2008 presidential campaign $219,000 for accepting over-the-limit contributions and a discounted flight on a jet owned by a New York hedge fund. His campaign also was charged with sloppy record-keeping.
Bidens campaign has indicated it will pay the penalty to the U.S. Treasury to resolve the campaign finance compliance issues, which were revealed in an audit report released Friday by the commission.

I was told that if I voted for John McCain that we would end up with a joke as a vice-president. I did and sure enough that's what happened.

Agnew wasn't impeached. He pleaded no contest to a charge of not reporting about $30k that he obtained years earlier in bribes when he was exec of Balt co. A variety of other charges were dropped in return for this plea and for his promise to resign a VP (which he did).

the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
