Hyperzealous Religious Nut Of The Day
It seems to me that a lot of Muslims seem to take virtue signaling to the next level. This one is going to be hard to beat.
A woman who plowed her car into the side of a Florida house told cops that she was praying with her eyes closed at the time of the crash, for which she was charged with reckless driving.

According to a police, Ruqiyyah Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq, 28, drove into the side of a home in Mary Esther, a city about 35 miles east of Pensacola. The motorist, cops say, blew through a stop sign and an intersection before going over a curb and a lawn to strike the residence Thursday morning.

When questioned by Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy, Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq said that she had been praying with her eyes closed as the 2005 Ford hurtled toward the home.

Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Residents of the home were not injured.

Abdur-Raqeeb-Sadiq, who was alone in her car, was cited for reckless driving with property damage, a misdemeanor. The Fort Walton Beach resident is scheduled for a July 26 court appearance.

Oil rebounds from 2-month ahead of OPEC report
[Market Watch] Crude-oil prices rebounded from a two-month low on Tuesday, getting a lift from a weaker dollar ahead of the monthly OPEC report.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in August CLQ6, +2.06% rose 78 cents, or 1.8%, to $45.54 a barrel, while September Brent crude LCOU6, +2.42% gained 97 cents, or 2.1%, to $47.21 a barrel.

The gains came as the dollar pulled back against most other major currencies, making oil cheaper for other currency holders. Investors backed out of the greenback and into more risk-sensitive investments, such as oil and equities, on hopes of continued loose monetary policy globally, as well as optimism over a better-than-expected start to the U.S. earnings season.

Judge Nap: Hillary Could Still Face Legal Trouble Over Clinton Foundation
[FOX] The Justice Department may not be pursuing charges against Hillary Clinton over her private email server, but the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's legal troubles are not over, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano.

On "Fox and Friends" this morning, he explained that there are several investigations into Clinton that are in progress or not yet started, including that she misled Congress and she failed to turn over all of her work-related emails.

Judge Napolitano said the biggest allegation against Clinton, however, is that she made decisions as secretary of state that benefited foreign nationals and foreign states in return for enormous donations to the Clinton Foundation.

"The largest of these? $145 million, and it involved Mrs. Clinton allowing a Canadian to buy shares in a uranium mine in Utah, which he promptly turned around and sold to the Russians, who could never have bought it on their own," Judge Napolitano explained.

He said it's unclear if any of these investigations will lead anywhere, but he anticipates that the FBI will want to resolve them quickly.

"She's about to become the Democratic nominee. The Democratic Party and the American public [have] the right to know if there's more evidence of wrongdoing against this woman," Judge Napolitano said, noting that the easiest case against her is that she misled Congress under oath.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Yet another theory on the downed Mi-35 helo.
BLUF: [WAPO] The Conflict Intelligence Team, a Russian open-source investigating team that uses data from social networks to report on the Russian military, said that the helicopter "had non-retracted landing gear and short wings, which are distinct features of a Mi-35M helicopter." But the post also made a controversial claim: that the helicopter may have been downed by friendly-fire rockets from a wingman.

"During combat, the leader could have gotten into the line of fire of the ... helicopter that followed it a bit above," the report said, noting that the gunship launched unguided rockets shortly before it was shot down. "This explains why [the Islamic State] did not publish a video of their missile launch."

#4  Nope, you would again see the blast trail from the rocket on impact. What seems to be interesting is that it looks to be the MI 35. This is new to combat in Syria and has only been in country for a couple of months. I'm a believer what we are seeing is something like 20mm rounds, or their equivalent being used by Isis.

Fed Former Chair Greenspan: Brexit Paves Way for ‘Gold Standard'
[Breitbart] Although former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the UK referendum to leave the EU was a "terrible mistake" that led to a "terrible outcome in all respects," he now expects "Brexit" will cause an inevitable return to the "gold standard."

In 1966, Greenspan published "Gold and Economic Freedom" in Ayn Rand's "Objectivist" libertarian newsletter to praise the virtues of the gold standard:

An almost hysterical antagonism toward the gold standard is one issue which unites statists of all persuasions. They seem to sense -- perhaps more clearly and subtly than many consistent defenders of laissez-faire -- that gold and economic freedom are inseparable, that the gold standard is an instrument of laissez-faire and that each implies and requires the other.

Chelsea Manning prison suicide attempt is confirmed
[BBC] US Army convicted spy whistleblower Bradley Chelsea Manning tried to kill herself in prison last week, her lawyers have confirmed. Ms Manning, who is transgender, is serving a 35-year sentence at an all-male military facility.

Her lawyers accused the US military of violating her privacy by revealing that she had been admitted to hospital. The army had not disclosed the reason for the hospital admission but it was linked to a suicide attempt in media reports.
Mr. Manning doesn't have any privacy: he's in a military prison.
Ms Manning's legal team said in a statement: "Last week, Chelsea made a decision to end her life.

"She would have preferred to keep her private medical information private, and instead focus on her recovery. "She knows that people have questions about how she is doing and she wants everyone to know that she remains under close observation by the prison and expects to remain on this status for the next several weeks."

A tweet was sent from Ms Manning's account on Monday, reading: "I am okay. I'm glad to be alive.

"Thank you for all your love. I will get through this."

Nigerian Islamists Hack Female Pastor to Death – Place Her Head on Bible
[Gateway Pundit] The husband of a female preacher hacked to the death in Abuja has shed more light into the gruesome murder of the 42 year-old mother of seven, Mrs. Eunice Elisha, the wife of a Redeemed Pastor who was murdered in cold blood in the early hour of Saturday July 9th by suspected Muslim fanatics while evangelizing around Gbazango and Pipeline area of Kubwa, a satellite town in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Eunice, who was a deaconess at the Divine Touch Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Old NEPA Road, Phase 4, Kubwa, was reportedly beheaded and stabbed in the stomach and leg by her killers, but a statement by the police has already debunked that claim.

It was learnt that her killers left her in the pool of her blood and carefully put her "severed head on her Bible, with megaphone and cell phone beside her dead body" but the Commissioner of Police in a statement said her body was intact.

Her death body was discovered by the residents who alerted the police and evacuated her to the police station where her husband went to identify her.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Champ regime Defends UN Program That Sends Anti-Semitic Textbooks to Palestinians
[Gateway Pundit] The Obama administration defended the UN program that sends anti-Semitic books to Palestinians.
The Daily Signal reported:

U.S. taxpayers provide nearly $400 million a year to a United Nations program that critics say sends anti-Semitic, anti-Israel textbooks to schools for Palestinian refugees.

Elementary school textbooks call the 1948 establishment of Israel a "disaster," and a high school text tells of the "End of Days" when "Muslims fight the Jews," among other examples in a report from the Center for Near East Policy, a pro-Israel research institute based in Jerusalem.

The agency--the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, or UNRWA--has come under scrutiny for years for supplying Palestinian schools with textbooks containing violent, anti-Israel references.

The Obama administration, however, defends the textbook program. A State Department spokesman told The Daily Signal that the books are part of "an education that instills respect for and appreciation of universal human rights and dignity of all persons."

The program serves nearly 500,000 students in about 700 schools in the Palestinian territories, using the Palestinian Authority’s curriculum, according to the State Department.

BLM Activist 'Tango Uniform' After Breaking Into St. Louis Police Officer's Home
[Gateway Pundit] A former Affton High School football standout forced his way into a South County home and was shot and killed by an off-duty officer inside after a Facebook dispute over Black Lives Matter apparently boiled over late Saturday afternoon.

That’s what can be pieced together from the accounts of police and an uncle of Tyler Gebhard, who said the young man had been struggling with mental health issues.

"He walked over there and into a gunfight," Gebhard’s uncle, Patrick Brogan said, drawing on accounts offered by friends of his nephew. "When he got there, he was met with a gun and the guy killed him."

Authorities said Gebhard, 20, and the officer were acquainted, and Gebhard made Facebook threats to the officer’s family and "uninvolved members of the community" in advance of the Saturday encounter with the unidentified officer.

Gebhard threw a 50-pound concrete planter through the window and entered the Lakeshire residence as the officer’s wife, mother-in-law and two young children struggled to escape through a bedroom window, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said. The off-duty officer shot and killed Gebhard.

IKEA to recall 1.7 million pieces of junk Chinese furniture
[Reuters] Swedish furniture company IKEA Group [IKEA.UL] said it would recall 1.66 million chests and dressers in China over concerns the drawers could pose a danger to children if not properly fixed to walls, China's safety regulator said on Tuesday.

The recall covers MALM chests or dressers manufactured from 1999 to 2016, China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) said in a statement posted on its website.

IKEA's decision comes after the official Xinhua news agency criticized it last week for showing "arrogance" and not taking responsibility for the problem.

The firm said last Thursday it would not extend a recall of 36 million dressers in North America to China, after the products were linked to six child deaths.

The company carried out a recall in North America because the products did not meet industry standards in the United States, IKEA said in a statement to Reuters. However, they complied with regulations in China, it said.

"But ... after communicating with AQSIQ and the China Consumers Association we have decided to carry out a recall on the MALM dressers," it said.

Time to Strip Team Hillary of Its Security Clearances -- Forever *UPDATED*
[PJ] Now that we know James Comey -- who knows for a fact that the Clintons are essentially a political crime family, but for some mysterious reason has intervened on their behalf to prevent charges from being filed by the "Justice" Department against Hillary -- isn't going to save the nation from the Dowager Empress of Chappaqua, there's only one thing left to do absent a Trump victory in November:

Pressure is growing on the State Department to revoke the security clearances of several of Hillary Clinton’s closest aides, potentially jeopardizing her ability to name her own national security team should she become president. The move could force Clinton to make an uncomfortable choice: abandon longtime advisers or face another political maelstrom by overriding the White House security agency.

It’s not clear if Clinton or her longtime aides Huma Abedin and Jake Sullivan still hold active security clearances. The information is protected under the Privacy Act and absent permission from each person, the only way it can be made public is if State sees an overriding public interest in disclosing it -- an unlikely scenario.

None of the aides implicated in the probe -- Abedin, Sullivan and Cheryl Mills -- are still employed at State. That makes it unlikely that they continue to hold security clearances, awarded on a need-to-know basis. But department spokesman John Kirby said earlier this week that former officials could still face "administrative sanctions" for past actions -- sanctions that could in theory make it incredibly difficult to be approved for security clearance in the future.

Jeb Bush not over it, the will of tens of millions of voters be damned
[Breitbart] "I’m disappointed I didn’t break through," Jeb Bush confessed during an interview with MSNBC Monday night. "This would have been an extraordinary time to serve as President. The country is desperately looking for leadership... I think it requires someone who is not always trying to win, but to solve problems."

The former Florida governor reflected on his failed 2016 bid for the Oval Office, admitting disappointment, but also deflecting blame, saying "conservatism is temporarily dead," and adding that "Donald Trump is barely a Republican ‐ certainly not a conservative."

When asked if he could have done something differently, Bush said he ultimately had to be himself, "If I had to be something different than I was, then I wouldn’t have run."

He went on to criticize the media’s coverage of the billionaire businessman, "I’m not sure in the environment that we were in in 2016 ‐ partially created by this larger than life character, partially created by, frankly, the media’s coverage of him that blocked out the sun effectively for anybody else ‐ [if anything would have made a difference]. I spent most of my time doing press interviews commenting on what Donald Trump said."

That's the point, neither are you nor your family of politicians. Far closer to classical liberals. Besides, the RINOs made sure that 'conservatism' wasn't important to anyone as much as being in the Beltway power net. Far happier to run among the big money donors than voters. Someone forgot along the way the saying of a conservative 'A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.'

#16  The wall I expect is more like the 'wooden wall' that saved Athens, which turned out to be their navy. While their city was burned by the Persians, the defeat of Persian fleet isolated the Persian army which was in turned destroyed. Liberating Athens for rebuilding (and it ascension aka the Golden Age). The purpose of a wall is to keep out or keep in. If that's achieved in effect through multiple means (wall, fence, enforcement, etc) , then most of us will be satisfied. Heck, the Israelis already have a proven system of border control, both above and below ground. It's just a matter of will.

Armed TX citizens stand guard outside Police Departments
[Breitbart] On July 9, two days after the heinous ambush on Dallas police officers, citizens armed with AR-15s stood guard outside various police departments in Texas.

According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, James Evans, Roger Tarrant, and Paul Wilson went to the Patton Village Police Department with "their AR-15s in hand" and stood guard. They also stood outside the City of Splendora Police Department (SPD), where passing drivers "honked their horns in approval, while others stopped for photos, selfies, and to personally thank them for what they were doing."

Alton Sterling Arrest Record, Criminal History & Rap Sheet [DOCUMENTS]
Alton Sterling was a 37-year-old black man who was shot to death in a confrontation outside a convenience store with police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana early on the morning of July 5.

His death has sparked outrage, protests, and an investigation by the U.S. Justice Department.

The officers’ handling of the confrontation has come under intense scrutiny from the public, and could lead to criminal charges. The debate over the officers’ conduct is likely to include discussion of Sterling’s criminal record and whether it is at all relevant when assessing the officers’ conduct. The legal questions in the case will focus on what happened in the confrontation between Sterling and the officers right before he was shot. Sterling’s case file does provide a fuller biography of the man, however.

A review of court records by Heavy shows that Sterling was well known to Baton Rouge police, although the two officers involved in the shooting -- Blane Salamoni and Howie Lake II -- are not mentioned in documents pertaining to Sterling. You can read all of Sterling’s Baton Rouge criminal case details here:

South African twins accused of plot to bomb US embassy, Jewish sites
More on this story from yesterday:
[IsraelTimes] Two sets of South African siblings appeared in court Monday on accusations that include plotting to blow up the US Embassy and various Jewish institutions in South Africa.

The four were allegedly planning to fly to Syria, where they were due to undergo training by a terror organization, police front man Hangwane Mulaudzi said.

"The allegation is that after the training, they would come back to South Africa," Mulaudzi said, adding that security officials hoped there would be more arrests.

Twin brothers Brandon-Lee Thulsie and Tony-Lee Thulsie were charged with conspiring to blow up the US Embassy in Pretoria and various Jewish targets. Mulaudzi said the twins were placed in durance vile
Don't shoot, coppers! I'm comin' out!
in Johannesburg on Saturday.

A provisional charge sheet says the brothers may have links to the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
bully boy group.

Siblings Fatima Patel and Ibrahim Mohammed Patel appeared in a separate court Monday after a stun grenade and live ammunition were confiscated during a raid on their home outside Johannesburg on Saturday night, said Phindi Louw, a spokeswoman for the National Prosecuting Authority.

All four of the accused are expected to have the chance to apply for bail next week.

This was not the first time South Africa had arrested someone suspected of trying to leave to join the Islamic State group. Last year, a 15-year-old girl was arrested on a flight in Cape Town while on her way to join the group, the state security ministry said. It was the country’s first known detention linked to the murderous Moslem group.
An Nahar adds the following about the Brothers Thulsie:
"They had been on our radar since 2015. They tried to leave the country twice, through OR Tambo airport and through Mozambique (to join IS)," Mulaudzi said.

According to court papers, in addition to plotting to attack the embassy and Jewish targets, the suspects were also accused of inciting others to "aid and abet them", according to the provisional charge sheet.

Moslems account for only 1.5 percent of South Africa's 53 million people and the country has so far escaped the jihadist attacks staged in several countries on the continent.

"We have got fairly verifiable evidence of South Africans going to the geographical Islamic State (in Syria)," Nick Piper of Signal Risk, a Cape Town-based security consultancy, told a press briefing recently. "There is radicalization happening within South Africa. There is a strong possibility that if an incident does happen, it will be a South African."

'Terrorists' kill deputy mayor in Mali: Security source
[AlAhram] A local official in central Mali was killed on Monday in an attack that left his body "riddled" with bullets, security sources and an eyewitness told AFP.

Deputy mayor of the Wouro-Mody commune Kola H. Dia became the latest victim of Islamist myrmidon and criminal groups which take advantage of Mali's dire security situation by frequently targeting symbols of state power including government officials and soldiers.

A Malian security source told AFP under condition of anonymity that "turbans slaughtered the deputy mayor of the commune" on Monday morning.

He said it was a "assassination."

A resident of Wouro-Mody who saw Dia's body said the gunnies left him "riddled" with bullets before making off with his mobile phone.

Dia was killed in the same area of the Mopti region where five Togolese UN peacekeepers were fatally ambushed on May 29. There was no claim of responsibility but the UN at the time called it a "terrorist" attack.

Northern Mali has seen repeated violence since it fell under the control of Tuareg-led rebels who allied with Islamist myrmidon groups linked to Al-Qaeda in 2012.

Attacks are now becoming more frequent further south, in the country's centre, close to its borders with Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
and Niger.

Although Islamists were largely ousted by an ongoing French-led military operation launched in January 2013, sporadic attacks from desert hideouts are common.

Venezuela seizes shuttered Kimberly-Clark plant
CARACAS, Venezuela - Venezuela's government has seized a factory belonging to Kimberly-Clark (KMB) after the U.S. personal care giant said it was no longer possible to manufacture in this crisis-wracked South American nation.

Labor Minister Owaldo Vera said Monday that the socialist government took the action at the request of the 971 workers at the factory that the company decided to shutter in central Aragua state.

Kimberly-Clark announced on Saturday that it was suspending production in Venezuela because of a lack of primary materials, currency trouble and soaring inflation. The company made a number of hard-to-find staples in Venezuela such as diapers and facial tissues.

"Kimberly-Clark will continue producing for all of the Venezuelans," Vera said in a televised statement from the factory surrounded by workers chanting pro-government slogans.

President Nicolas Maduro's socialist government accused Kimberly-Clark of failing to properly notify the government of its plans.

The Irving, Texas-based company did not comment Monday about Venezuela's actions.

Kimberly-Clark joins Bridgestone, General Mills (GIS) and Procter & Gamble (PG) and other multinational corporations in scaling back operations in Venezuela amid its economic crisis.

Student killed by trigger-happy policemen in plain clothes
[DAWN] A college student selling a mobile phone was killed while a suspected robber posing as a buyer was wounded late on Sunday night when trigger-happy policemen in plain clothes fired at them in the Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society, officials said on Monday.

The policemen, however, fled the area in a police mobile van shortly after the episode that drew the attention of the top officials who ordered an impartial probe into the incident and sought recommendations for legal action against the policemen.

The policemen involved in the shooting and the police mobile van remained untraceable, officials told Dawn.

According to the Ferozabad police, 21-year-old Abrar-ul-Hasan, a resident of Keamari, had advertised his mobile phone for sale on a website (OLX). He was later contacted by a man, Dil Nawaz, over phone and they agreed to meet in Saddar on Sunday night for the deal.

Israel outlaws ‘Iran-backed’ Palestinian group
[IsraelTimes] Defense Ministry says ’The Youth Group’ is aided by Hezbollah, plans to attack Israel and bring down PA

Israel announced Monday it had outlawed a Paleostinian group it said acted as a front for Iran-directed terror activities targeting Israelis and the regime of Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial...
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman signed the order outlawing Al-Hirak Al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
i ("The Youth Movement") at the recommendation of the Shin Bet internal security agency, a ministry statement read.

The decision followed "significant information indicating that the group is directed by Hezbollah and Iran to carry out attacks against Israelis, and ignite a wave of violence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem at Israel and the Paleostinian Authority," it read.

While the group claimed to be a collective of youths seeking to change the situation in the West Bank through civil activity, it was in fact "a terror group headed by two opponents of the Paleostinian Authority," the statement read.

The Defense Ministry named them as Munir Asli, living in Leb, and Hilmi Balbisi, living in Jordan. It said they are "directed and funded by Hezbollah and Iran," which have both transferred "hundreds of thousands of shekels" over the past two years to fund the group’s activities.

Members of Al-Hirak Al-Shabaabi were engaged in Molotov cocktailing and bombing attacks on Israeli targets in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as well as stirring unrest on the volatile Temple Mount compound in the city, the ministry said.

The group’s goals included "toppling the regime of [Abbas] and collapsing the Paleostinian Authority."

"Exposing the organization, the extent of its activity and true goals shows once again the efforts of Iran and Hezbollah to advance terror activity against Israel," the ministry statement read.

Protesters try to storm airbase in held Kashmir
[DAWN] Several hundred Kashmiri protesters tried to storm a military airbase in India-held Kashmire on Monday as the corpse count in festivities between Indian security forces and demonstrators reached 30, while Pakistain and India traded allegations over the violent situation.

Thousands of people again defied the curfew imposed across the valley to take to the streets and tried to storm the Indian Air Force base, about 25km south of Srinagar, as the worst civilian unrest since 2010 spread. The protesters also set cop shoppes and vehicles on fire, according to AFP.

Police said Indian security personnel fired live ammunition and tear gas to try to enforce the curfew. The dear departed were mainly protesters killed by gunshot wounds, they added.

There were also reports of injured protesters being targeted, as one local doctors association said tear gas canisters had been fired inside a hospital emergency room.

Another group, the Jammu and Kashmire Coalition for Civil Society, alleged that police had attacked ambulances taking the maimed to hospital.

While the authorities cut off internet and mobile phone networks in a bid to quell the protests, those leading the demonstrations said the protests be extended by two more days and called a rally in Srinagar on Friday, according to AFP.

2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

put up banners in 13 cities across the country on Monday with its leaders urging Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif
..Pak chief of army staff, meaning he pulls the strings on the Nawaz Sharif puppet to make it dance and sing and not do much at all....
to impose martial law and form a government of technocrats.

The banners have been put up in Lahore, Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.
, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad
...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after...
, Sargodha, Hyderabad, etc, by the Move on Pakistain party and unlike its earlier campaign requesting the army chief to reconsider his retirement plan due in November the message is quite ominous this time around.

A banner hanging at a traffic intersection on the thoroughfare between Chief Minister House and the Rangers headquaters in Karachi reads: Janay ki baatain hui puraani, Khuda k liye ab ajao (Talks of leaving are now old; for God’s sake now come).

Ali Hashmi, the central chief organiser of the party, told Dawn that the goal of their campaign was to suggest to the army chief that after imposing martial law a government of technocrats should be made in Pakistain and Gen Raheel should himself supervise it.

While the official mouthpiece of the army -- the Inter-Services Public Relations -- remained silent, analyst Amir Rana believed that the latest move strengthened the view that something was cooking up.

Interestingly, the banners sprang up overnight on all major thoroughfares in the 13 cities, even in cantonment areas, despite the presence of several checkpoints and extra security.

US drone strike kills four suspected militants in Afghanistan
PESHAWAR: At least four suspected militants were killed in a US drone strike in Nazyan district of Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, near Pakistan's Khyber Agency, sources said on Sunday.

Security sources said the the drone strike targeted a militant compound in the Nazyan district, killing four suspected militants.

Till 2014, Nazyan district had been serving as a safe haven for the Mullah Fazllullah led Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to security officials, militants based in the Nazyan district had planned the devastating attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, which left over 140 children and teachers dead and scores injured.

Pakistani security forces also carried out ground offensives in Khyber Agency, particularly the Tirah Valley of Bara which borders Nazyan.

The forces cleared much of the Bara plain in Operation Khyber One launched in October 2014, while in a follow-on operation named Khyber-2, which ended in June 2015, cleared the fierce Tirah terrain consisting of deep valleys and high mountains.

Two Egypt policemen killed in Sinai bombing
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A roadside kabooming in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula killed two coppers on Monday, the interior ministry said.

The ISIS group's self-styled Amaq news agency said a bomb planted by Death Eaters targeted a police mine clearing vehicle, but it was not clear whether it was referring to the same incident.

The interior ministry said a police lieutenant and a sergeant were killed when a roadside kaboom tore through a convoy, also wounding two officers and a conscript.

Militants in the peninsula bordering Israel and the Paleostinian Gazoo Strip have killed hundreds of soldiers and coppers in attacks since the army toppled Islamist president Mohammed Mursi in 2013.
Al Ahram sez there were two bombs:
Four Egyptian policemen were killed and six others were injured in two blasts in North Sinai, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

According to security sources and eyewitnesses, unidentified assailants planted an improvised explosive device (IED) on a north Al-Arish road. The IED then detonated while a police vehicle was passing, killing a first lieutenant and a first sergeant and injuring three other police members.

In another blast, a brigadier general and a conscript were killed, and three other conscripts were injured after an IED exploded in Al-Montabh in central Sinai when an IED targeted a patrolling police vehicle.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Egypt foils third illegal immigration attempt in less than 24 hours
It looks like this is the new route for the migrants colonists.
[AlAhram] Egypt has foiled a third attempt of illegal immigration in less than 24 hours, the military front man announced Monday.

Brig. Gen. Mohammed Samir said in an official statement that the Egyptian navy inspected a fishing boat sailing off the coast of Alexandria, where it discovered 179 people of different nationalities ‐ including Egypt, Sudan, Comoros, Eretria, Guinea, and Ghana - on board.

According to Samir, the boat was destined for southern Europe. He did not specify which country the board was expected to land.

Those aboard of the boat where transferred to Abu Qir port where they were provided medical care and then handed over to other investigating authorities to undergo legal procedures.

On Sunday, the naval forces intercepted a boat near Alexandria and found it was carrying 143 people of different nationalities - including Egyptians, Sudanese, Syrians, Paleostinians and Æthiopians - heading to Europe.

The forces also managed to stop another boat carrying five people from Egypt in addition to four crew members near Alexandria.

Home Front: WoT
American Jewish leaders appear on Islamic State hit list
[IsraelTimes] Homeland Security holds conference call to brief community heads as roster of targets is disseminated online

US Department of Homeland Security officials briefed Jewish leaders on the inclusion of American Jews in an Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
"kill list."

Some 200 Jewish leaders joined the conference call on Friday organized by the Secure Community Network, the security arm of the national Jewish community, in the wake of the July 3 release of the Islamic State list that included members of synagogues and churches among 1,700 individuals. The names of the synagogue members were pulled from the synagogue websites, among other sources, according to SCN.

The SITE group, which tracks terrorist activity, spotted the list.

"The lists appear to be directed toward ’lone wolf’ ISIS supporters who may be inspired to carry out attacks," SCN said in a statement, using one of the acronyms for the terrorist group. "However,
it's easy to be generous with someone else's money...
there have been no reported incidents to date in which an ISIS-inspired individual has carried out an attack on any individual appearing on these lists."

The lists are released through online forums. Host websites often remove the lists soon after they appear, but they often crop up again.

Previous lists have targeted business leaders and military personnel. The lists appear culled from the internet. Homeland Security officials are contacting those named on the lists.

SCN is affiliated with the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Divest from Palestine
[SultanKnish] Hallel Yaffa Ariel, a 13-year-old girl, was asleep when she was murdered in her own bedroom. She had just graduated 8th grade. It was her summer vacation and she was taking it easy. The Muslim terrorist who broke into her bedroom stabbed her over and over again. Eventually he slit her throat.

The mattress that she slept on was soaked in blood. Her room with its casual teenage disarray, clothes tossed around carelessly, was stained red with the last gush of life from the girl who had played there, danced there and dreamed of the future that would never be hers.

The murder happened in Israel, but Hallel was an American citizen. Her government not only failed to protect her, it financed her bloody death. And it will go on rewarding her killer’s family.

Muslim terrorists in Israel, no matter which specific Islamic terrorist group they claim allegiance to, whether they are described as members of a cell or lone wolves, have their attacks funded by the terrorist administration of the Palestinian Authority which provides salaries to terrorists and their families. The Palestinian Authority is funded almost entirely by foreign aid, most of it from us. Obama insisted that Abbas, the terror boss of the Palestinian Authority, had “renounced violence”. This would have come as news to Abbas who boasted, “There is no difference between our policies and those of Hamas.” Last month, an Abbas adviser had said, “Every place you find an Israeli, slit his throat.”

That’s what Mohammed Tarayrah, the Muslim terrorist who murdered Hallel in her bedroom, did.

The core components of the Palestinian Authority, including its official news agency, called him a “martyr”. Mohammed’s mother, who will be richly rewarded by the Palestinian Authority and its international financiers, for her son’s horrific crime, said, "My son is a hero. He made me proud.”

At her funeral, Hallel Yaffa Ariel’s mother tried to hug her daughter one last time. “Halleli, goodbye, sweetie. Have one last hug from mom.”

The United States has officially condemned Hallel’s murder. Its current government however will do nothing to stop the Palestinian Authority from funding terrorism. Instead it will continue using its power to fight for the same cause as Abbas and Mohammed. Hallel was not the first American to be murdered by Muslim terrorists this year. She was the seventh.

China-Japan-Koreas
N. Korea to take ‘physical action’ over US anti-missile system
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] North Korea threatened Monday to take "physical action" after Washington and Seoul announced they would deploy a sophisticated US anti-missile defense system to counter the growing menace from Pyongyang.

Seoul and Washington on Friday revealed their decision to deploy the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system in the South following recent North Korean missile and nuclear tests.

The two allies have not yet revealed exactly when and where the system, which fires projectiles to smash into enemy missiles, would be deployed but said they were in the final stage of selecting a potential venue.

"The DPRK will take a physical counter-action to thoroughly control THAAD... from the moment its location and place have been confirmed in South Korea," the artillery bureau of the North’s military said in a statement, according to the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

North Korea’s military, which has "sufficient latest offensive strike means", will take "more merciless and powerful successive corresponding measures against the US keen to ignite a war by deploying THAAD", it said.

It also warned the South of "miserable self-destruction" as a consequence of deployment of the THAAD system.

"We once again warn the enemies that it is the steadfast will of the KPA to make merciless retaliatory strikes to reduce South Korea to a sea in flames, debris once an order is issued," the statement said.

Seoul denounced the "ridiculous threats" by the North, which had staged serious provocations including a nuclear test in January and a long-range rocket launch in February.

"North Korea must recognize who is threatening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and first apologies for its provocations," defense ministry front man Moon Sang-Gyun told news hounds.

Two ‘militants’ die in Bajaur IED explosion
[DAWN] KHAR: Two suspected murderous Moslems were killed on Monday when a remote-controlled improvised bomb (IED) they were planting on Dherakai-Pashat road in Salarazai tehsil of the Bajaur tribal region went off.

Officials of the Bajaur administration said two bodies mutilated beyond recognition were found at the scene of the incident.

They claimed that the dear departed were involved in several cases of planting the IEDs on Dherakai-Pashat road to target security forces and pro-government tribal elders associated with peace committees.

The bomb, they said, went off, killing the suspects on the spot.

The political administration and security personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. However,

India-held Kashmir seethes as 25 killed amid protests after killing of militant commander
[DAWN] Authorities in India-held Kashmire (IHK) were struggling Monday to contain protests by residents angry after 25 people were killed in weekend demonstrations as youths defied a curfew to rally in the streets against the killing of top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.

Wani, the Hizbul Mujahideen chief of operations, was killed in fighting on Friday after Indian troops, acting on a tip, cordoned a forested village in the southern Kashmire's Kokernag area, said Police Director-General K. Rajendra. Two other members of Wani's group were also killed in the shootout.

Indian authorities imposed an indefinite curfew in most parts of IHK after Wani was killed, but massive protests continued despite attempts to suppress violence.

Paramilitary troops and police in riot gear patrolled villages and towns in the region. Most shops were shuttered, businesses were closed and cellphone services were suspended.

But by noon Monday, crowds were ignoring the clampdown to gather in parts of the main city of Srinagar and other towns.

Christian charged with blasphemy over sending ‘offensive’ poem on WhatsApp
[DAWN] LAHORE: A Christian was booked for blasphemy on Monday in Sara-e-Alamgir area of Gujrat district after his friend alleged that he had sent him a poem on WhatsApp disrespecting Islamic holy figures.

"Yasir Bashir filed a complaint against his friend Nadeem James for sending a poem on WhatsApp that was derogatory about holy figures," police sources said.

A First Information Report (FIR) was registered against Nadeem under the Blasphemy Law (clause 295-C and 298-A of the Pakistain Penal Code).

According to the police, Nadeem was on the run and his relatives were taken into "protective custody".

There was increased security in Christian neighbourhoods in the town because of tension arising after Yasir’s complaint.

In the past, such allegations have often triggered beatings and mob violence in the country.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian rebels counterattack against Syrian regulars in Aleppo
[ARA News] ALEPPO – Syrian rebel fighters on Tuesday launched a fierce offensive on positions for the pro-regime forces in Aleppo city, northern Syria, and recaptured a key district.

Rebels of the Aleppo Conquest [Fateh Halab] coalition attacked strongholds of the pro-regime forces north Aleppo and recaptured the Bani Zaid district.

Speaking to ARA News, Aleppo Conquest coalition’s spokesman Mussalam Salloum said the attack comes amid attempts by their fighters to reopen their only supply route into Aleppo city, known as Castello Road.

“We have recaptured Bani Zaid district from pro-Assad militias after bombing their strongholds and destroying two tanks,” Salloum said, adding that 18 regime forces were killed in the clashes.

“They [Syrian regime forces] eventually withdrew from the district, and we are currently preparing a new offensive to regain the recently lost areas of Aleppo, including the Castello Road,” the rebel official told ARA News.

This comes just one day after the regime forces hit the rebel headquarters in the city and killed at least 26 fighters.

The Castello Road leads into the opposition-held eastern half of Aleppo city, which is now effectively besieged by Syrian regime forces.

On Thursday, the regime troops seized a hilltop within range of the strategic Castello supply line. Then by Saturday, the Syrian regime forces imposed full control over the Castello Road, putting rebels under heavy siege.

“We won’t give up. The fight for Castello will continue, and our forces are preparing heavy attacks on the pro-Assad troops there,” rebel spokesman Saleh al-Zein told ARA News in Aleppo earlier on Monday.

According to al-Zein, different factions of the armed Syrian opposition decided to cooperate in order to reopen their only supply line into the key Aleppo city.

The Aleppo Conquest coalition is comprised of some 31 armed groups that co-ordinate attacks against Syrian government forces, ISIS and the Kurds in Aleppo governorate.

Afghanistan
ISIS Top Dawg, 13 others pining for the fjords in Nangarhar
A commander leading the loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group was killed during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province.

According to the defense sources, the ISIS commander was identified as Meera Jan and was killed together with his 13 fighters.

The sources further added that the operation was conducted in Kot district of Nangarhar province where the loyalists of the terror group are actively operating.

At least 5 others were also wounded and various types of heavy and light weapons were destroyed during the operations.

The loyalists of the terror group based in Afghanistan have not commented regarding the report so far.

This comes as local officials earlier said at least 31 loyalists of the terror group were killed during the ongoing operations in Nangarhar province.

The Afghan forces are regularly targeting the loyalists of ISIS terrorist group to curb their insurgency activities as they attempt to expand operations in Afghanistan.

The US Forces in Afghanistan are also targeting the loyalists of the terror by conducting airstrikes.

The US forces stepped up airstrikes against the ISIS loyalists earlier this year after they were granted more authorities by President Barack Obama.

The increased raids against ISIS loyalists followed amid concerns that they are attempting to expand foothold in the country besides attempting to consolidate operations with the terror group in Iraq and Syria.

Policemen gun down man in Sindhi Muslim
KARACHI: A man was shot dead Sunday night by plainclothed 'policemen' in a police mobile who opened fire on a car carrying two men fighting with each other.

Abrar went to a market in Saddar to sell his mobile phone to a man identified as Dil Nawaz, who tried to race away in his car without paying for the handset, Superintendent Police (SP) Dr Saad Ahmed told Dawn.

Abrar chased Dil Nawaz's vehicle on foot and managed to get in the car, the SP said, adding that Dil Nawaz's car carried a fake number plate.

"The two continued to fight in the car, eventually arriving at Sindhi Muslim where a police mobile was stationed. The policemen in the mobile, apparently sensing unusual activity, opened fire on the car, killing Abrar and injuring Nawaz," the SP said.

However, the police mobile's presence in the area was unusual, the SP said, as it was not supposed to be stationed there. Police are tracking down the policemen who shot at Nawaz's vehicle, SP Ahmed said.

Inspector General (IG) Sindh A.D. Khawaja took notice of reports of the alleged plainclothed policemen in the police mobile who fired at the vehicle, and ordered the Deputy Inspector General East to ensure all investigations regarding the incident are transparent and impartial.

The IG Sindh directed the concerned authorities to produce a comprehensive report on the incident.

Earlier in January this year, a young man named Shaharyar was shot dead by police while riding a motorcycle in Gizri after he allegedly did not stop at the police check post in the area.

China-Japan-Koreas
N. Korea's nuclear test site shows 'high-level activity'
North Korea is showing "high-level activity" at its nuclear test site, the 38 North website monitoring the communist nation said Monday.

Commercial satellite imagery taken on July 7 of the North's Punggye-ri nuclear test site shows what appears to be supplies and/or equipment stacked on the ground at the site's North Portal, where the North conducted its fourth nuclear test in January, 38 North said.

In addition, a small vehicle is present at the support building immediately to the south of the portal and several mine ore carts may also be present southeast of the portal, suggesting the tunnel is being actively worked, 38 North said.

"Recent commercial satellite imagery indicates a high-level of activity at North Korea's Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, specifically at the North Portal area where the DPRK conducted its 2013 and 2016 nuclear tests," 38 North said in a report.

"Based on imagery alone, it is not possible to determine whether this activity is for maintenance, excavation or preparation for a fifth nuclear test. Nevertheless, it is clear that North Korea is ensuring that the facility is in a state of readiness that would allow the conduct of future nuclear tests should the order come from Pyongyang," it said.

Concerns have flared anew recently that Pyongyang might undertake additional provocations after the U.S. imposed unprecedented sanctions on North Korean leader Kim Jong-un last week for his role in the country's human rights violations.

Dallas Police Chief Invites BLM to Fill Out Cop App to Fix Their Hoods
DALLAS (CBSDFW) ‐ "We are all worried for our safety. We are all on edge and being very careful." said Dallas Polce Chief David Brown at a Monday press conference following the deadly shooting that took the lives of 5 Dallas Police officers Thursday night.

Saying he was "running on fumes," Brown spoke frankly about everything that his employees have to deal with on a daily basis ‐ and that it can be overwhelming at times.

"We’re asking cops to do too much in this country" said Brown.

"Every societal failure, we put it off on the cops to solve" said Brown. He listed mental health, drug addiction, loose dogs, failing schools as problems the public expects ’cops to solve.’

"Seventy percent of the African American community is being raised by single women, let’s give it to the cops to solve that as well" said Brown. "Policing was never meant to solve all those problems."

When asked what advice he would give black men, Chief Brown said, "Become a part of the solution, serve your community. Don’t be a part of the problem...we’re hiring. Get off that protest line and put an application in. We’ll put you in your neighborhood ‐ we will help you resolve some of the problems you are protesting about."

Detroit police arrest four for threats against cops
Detroit police arrested four men for allegedly threatening on Facebook to kill police officers, police Chief James Craig said Sunday.

One of the men reportedly posted: “All lives can’t matter until black lives matter. Kill all white cops.”

The arrests of the four African-American Detroiters follow Thursday’s slayings of five Dallas officers by a black sniper during a protest march. The man blamed for the killings and injuries to seven others reportedly told police he wanted to kill as many white cops as possible. With the Dallas ambush of police officers last week and calls for more cop killings, Craig said he’s taking seriously the social media threats that his staff uncovered.

Craig said he plans to contact federal, state and local prosecutors to determine what charges may be brought against the suspects.

“Social media is new territory, and while it’s been established that hate speech is protected by the First Amendment, we’re talking about people specifically saying on Facebook they want to kill white police officers,” said Craig, who said the Police Department’s counter-terrorism unit saw the alleged threats while monitoring social media.

“If someone threatens to kill the president, that person would be arrested and prosecuted. How is it any different when someone threatens to kill white cops?”

But one legal expert said it’s murky determining where free speech ends and illegal behavior begins.

“Certainly, posting that kind of thing on social media is a bad thought,” said professor Larry Dubin of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. “But having a bad thought isn’t necessarily a crime. There are a lot of issues at play here, and I think a lot would depend on what exactly was said.”

One of the Detroit men reportedly posted on Facebook that Johnson was a “hero” for killing the Dallas officers, and added: “He inspired me to do the exact same thing.”

Police said another man posted: “It’s time to wage war and shoot the police first.” The man told people to contact him to organize the effort to shoot officers.

The fourth suspect posted pictures and videos of officers being shot on his Facebook wall and wrote: “This needs to happen more often,” according to police.

Craig said Monday two of the four suspects are no longer in custody. The two others are in custody on unrelated misdemeanor warrants.

Afghanistan
Explosion in a classroom in Khost leaves 5 students, 1 teacher wounded
At least six people were wounded after an explosive device went off inside a classroom in a school located in the southeastern Khost province of Afghanistan.

According to the local education officials, at least five students and a teacher were wounded in the blast.

The officials further added that the explosives were planted in a classroom filled with 6th grade students in Matiullah Shahid high school in Khost city.

No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.

Taliban militants and insurgents belonging to other militant groups frequently use improvised explosive devices to target the security forces.

The militants normally use the improvised explosive devices on roadside while numerous incidents involving explosions inside mosques have been reported.

But detonating explosives in a classroom have been rare in the country and it is yet not clear who the target of the attack was.

Khost is among the relatively peaceful provinces in southeastern Afghanistan but the anti-government armed militant groups have been attempting to expand their insurgency across the country during the recent months.

India-Pakistan
Liberals vs realism
[DAWN] The liberal pushback against the establishment’s outlook argues that: (i) the state must not interfere in Afghanistan’s affairs if we expect others not to do the same to us; (ii) the state should promote regional economic integration to improve Indo-Pak ties; and (iii) we should not use hard boy proxies against neighbours because of the instability it creates. All undisputable on normative grounds.

But a hard-core realist would calculate otherwise: (i) will my opponent not gain if I stop interfering in Afghanistan? India has favourable geography with all other regional countries. Why should I not take advantage of my geography vis-à-vis Afghanistan to outmanoeuvre it in this theatre? (ii) Trade with India is my bargaining chip. If I give it up, I’ll lose leverage and my core interest in Kashmire would be permanently compromised. (iii) Am I the only one using proxies? Isn’t this a game that goes on in South Asia and elsewhere?

How does one anchor in liberalism while engaging realism? By explaining that Pakistain’s current strategic outlook is not realist, it is ’hyper-realist’ (an example of realism gone wrong); it defies the two most cardinal principles of realism: the costs of your policy choices must match your capacity and resources; and policy outcomes must be in line with your self-defined goals.

(i) Afghans see Pak policies negatively. The sentiment has made it politically beneficial for Kabul

to reach out to New Delhi, increasing the latter’s manoeuvring space in Afghanistan, precisely the opposite of what the establishment wants; (ii) engaging regionally on the economic front will increase, not reduce, Pakistain’s leverage over India. Any deal that makes Pakistain the transit route for energy, trade, or transport that a sizeable part of the Indian population depends on will strengthen Pakistain’s bargaining position. And (iii) proxies are directly responsible for much of the internal hard boy chaos Pakistain has faced since 9/11. Pakistain’s capacity and resources no longer allow use of this tool, irrespective of how others may be approaching the option.

Overall, Pakistain’s current policy has led to its growing isolation in the region -- the Indo-Iranian-Afghan clique being the latest example. This is self-inflicted.

Of course, my intent is not to dismiss either Pakistain’s legitimate security concerns or the intrinsic value of the liberal public discourse. But separately, neither is optimal. Pakistain’s foreign policy would gain tremendously if the two sides were to speak more directly and constructively to (instead of past) each other.

The state can help create this space by making the strategic liberals feel more welcome -- for starters, by stopping the ridiculous trend of declaring naysayers unpatriotic or anti-national. And the liberals would do themselves a favour by stepping out of their social media echo chambers and recognising how irrelevant they have become.

The Grand Turk
130 Kurds die in Turkey
[ARA News] CIZRE – The Turkish government is blocking access for independent investigations into alleged mass abuses against civilians across the Kurdish region southeast Turkey, Human Rights Watch said today. The alleged abuses include unlawful killings of civilians, mass forced civilian displacement, and widespread unlawful destruction of private property. Moreover, the report confirms that Turkish security forces fired on civilians in the streets carrying white flags.

“The government should promptly grant the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights permission to enter the area and investigate according to its standards,” HRW said.

Since the July 2015 breakdown of a peace process to end the decades-long conflict between the Turkish state and the armed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), violence and armed clashes in the southeastern region have escalated. During security operations since August, the authorities have imposed curfews on 22 towns and city neighbourhoods, preventing non-governmental organizations, journalists and lawyers from scrutinizing those operations or any resulting abuses by security forces or armed groups.

According to HRW, authorities have blocked rights groups – including Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and Physicians for Human Rights – from trying to document abuses even after curfews and operations ended.

“The Turkish government’s effective blockade of areas of the southeast fuels concerns of a major cover-up,” said Emma Sinclair-Webb, senior Turkey researcher at Human Rights Watch. “The Turkish government should give the UN and nongovernmental groups immediate access to the area to document what’s going on there.”

Most of the deaths, destruction, and mass displacement occurred in nine towns, including Cizre. More than 355,000 people have been temporarily displaced within towns or to other nearby towns and villages, or to other regions of Turkey. At least 338 civilians have been killed in places where clashes broke out between security forces and the PKK-linked Civil Protection Units (YPS), HRW said.

Moreover, a list of dead compiled by Cizre-based lawyers showed that 66 civilians, including 11 children were killed by gunfire or mortars, in operations between December 14 and February 22, 2015. “The available information also indicates that security forces surrounded three buildings and deliberately and unjustifiably killed about 130 people – among whom were unarmed civilians and injured combatants – trapped in the basements,” HRW said.

The majority of deaths of Cizre residents occurred in neighborhoods where the YPS had erected barricades and dug trenches, and clashes took place between security forces and armed groups. However, some civilians were killed in neighborhoods where there were no clashes or barricades.

On December 25, in an area of Sur where no barricades had been erected and no armed groups were operating, members of the security forces fired on and killed a 3-month-old baby, Miray İnce, and her 82-year-old great-grandfather, Ramazan İnce, relatives of the victims told Human Rights Watch. “As baby Miray, my brother Hasan’s granddaughter, was carried down the steps in the courtyard by her aunt they were shot at from the hill opposite where the military had placed snipers and armored vehicles. Miray was hit by a bullet,” Abdurrahman İnce (61) told HRW. “At first we thought she was dead but then she cried and we called 155 [the police] to get her to hospital. The emergency services told us that we should go as two men and a woman carrying a white flag as far as the ambulance. That’s exactly what we did,” he added.

However, when the Kurdish family carried a white flag, his father Ramazan and the baby Miray were shot again from the open hill where security forces were positioned. “Finally, a member of parliament, Faysal Sarıyıldız, got an ambulance to them but both my father and baby Miray died,” Ince said. “Even when the police told you things were safe, the security forces kept on shooting.”

“Credible accounts of Turkish security forces deliberately killing civilians, including children, when they were carrying white flags or trapped in basements should be ringing loud alarm bells,” said Sinclair-Webb. “The prosecutor in Cizre should conduct a full, effective, independent investigation capable of delivering justice for the victims.”

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Use of force in blacks versus whites
From the website of the 'National Bureau of Economic Research':
This paper explores racial differences in police use of force. On non-lethal uses of force, blacks and Hispanics are more than fifty percent more likely to experience some form of force in interactions with police. Adding controls that account for important context and civilian behavior reduces, but cannot fully explain, these disparities. On the most extreme use of force – officer-involved shootings – we find no racial differences in either the raw data or when contextual factors are taken into account. We argue that the patterns in the data are consistent with a model in which police officers are utility maximizers, a fraction of which have a preference for discrimination, who incur relatively high expected costs of officer-involved shootings.
You can download a PDF from the website or have the file mailed to you. The NYT spin is here, from which I quote:
Mr. Fryer found that, in tense situations, officers in Houston were about 20 percent less likely to shoot suspects if the suspect were black. This estimate was not very precise, and firmer conclusions would require more data. But, in a variety of models that controlled for different factors and used different definitions of tense situations, Mr. Fryer found that blacks were either less likely to be shot or there was no difference between blacks and whites.
Comes as a surprise, huh...
the results do not mean that the general public’s perception of racism in policing is misguided. Lethal uses of force are exceedingly rare. There were 1.6 million arrests in Houston in the years Mr. Fryer studied. Officers fired their weapons 507 times. What is far more common are nonlethal uses of force.

And in less extreme uses of force, Mr. Fryer found ample racial differences, which is in accord with the public’s perception and other studies.
What the good Mr. Fryer did not answer (and to be fair to him, his study could not answer), is whether the use of force was justified. Further, while he accounts for demographic differences, from my first quick review it's not clear that he's adjusted his demographics for the known conundrum of more blacks being on the receiving end of the justice system. But it's an interesting paper to read, and Mr. Fryer should be commended for looking at primary data, and further for starting with a hypothesis and data rather than with a conclusion.

Home Front: Politix
Attacks on police: Inspired or directed by militant groups?
Not so much the content of the article (it's the same drivel we expect from so-called professional journalists these days) - but the wording the reporter uses is telling...
DALLAS (AP) -- Police shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota were followed by calls from black militant groups and others to seek vengeance against officers. Almost immediately, several officers were attacked, including the five slain by a sniper in Dallas.
notice the use of the word 'Militant Group' as opposed to 'Hate Group'...
Now authorities are investigating whether the Dallas gunman was directed by those groups or merely emboldened by them.

"I think it's safe to say we'll leave no stone unturned," Dallas Deputy Police Chief Scott Walton said.

The number of black separatist groups nearly doubled in 2015, mirroring a similar increase among white hate groups that has taken place as police killings make frequent headlines, said Ryan Lenz, online editor and senior writer at the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Ok so according to the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC - itself a hate group) only white people can form a 'hate' group. If they are black they are merely 'separatists'.
Johnson followed black militant groups on Facebook,
There's that word again. I wonder if the reporter has a macro for it...perhaps alt-shift-M or something...
including the African American Defense League, which posted a message that referenced the police shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana: "You and I know what we must do and I don't mean marching, making a lot of noise, or attending conventions. We must 'Rally The Troops!' It is time to visit Louisiana and hold a barbeque."
Nope... no call for violence or racism there...
Johnson's Facebook photo showed him wearing a dashiki and raising his fist over the words "Black Power." His cover shot carried the red, black and green Pan-African flag.
But he wasn't driven by hate of white people. he just wanted to get along, be 'separate'... In fact he was on his way to Choir practice when...
There's no evidence such groups have directed violent events, but their rhetoric has served as inspiration, Lenz said.
And even if there was evidence, the AP will be quick to bury it. See Obama's close association with a known unrepentant Domestic Terrorist...
Law enforcement agencies across the U.S. are on guard for threats after the police killings and the Dallas attack. Protesters view the police slayings as further evidence of the law enforcement abuse that has energized the Black Lives Matter movement, which was fueled by the 2014 killing of Michael Brown by an officer in Ferguson, Missouri.
And of course the 'Hands Up Don't shoot' reference. Proven totally false by direct evidence but the reporters here have little regard for facts when there is a narrative to push
Recent threats ranged from generic promises of violence to specific video posts. In Dallas, officers swarmed police department headquarters Saturday after a report of a suspicious person in a garage before finally issuing an all-clear.

A Louisiana man was accused of posting a video online showing him in his vehicle behind a police car, saying he wanted to shoot and kill an officer. Police say Kemonte Gilmore flashed a handgun in the video and talked about the slayings of Philando Castile in Minnesota and Alton Sterling in Louisiana.

In Wisconsin, a man posted calls on social media for black men to gun down white officers, and a woman in Illinois threatened in an online video to shoot and kill any officer who pulled her over, police said.
Another one of those peace-loving 'militant separatists', since, you know, only whites have hate groups.
Mawuli Davis, an African-American attorney and activist in Atlanta, said the unrest continues because there has been no serious dialogue about issues of race and policing.
Not that Davis really wants serious dialogue. His kind wants to keep kicking that hornets nest.
Davis and his associates insist on peaceful protests as a means to an end, and most protests across the U.S. have gone on without a hint of violence. But until that discussion happens, Davis said, he fears "we're going to continue to see this kind of tragic incident" like the Dallas attack.

"From an activist perspective, you're seeing a level of frustration and anger that very well may be at a tipping point," he said.
Is that a threat?
And of course to give the reporters credit for this piece of drivel... journalism....
Associated Press writers Bill Cormier and Don Schanche in Atlanta and Nomaan Merchant in Dallas also contributed to this report.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran indicts dual UK, US, Canadian nationals on unknown charges
[IsraelTime] Foreigner also charged as fears grow Tehran wants all four as bargaining chips in a future prisoner swap

Iran announced Monday that three dual nationals and a foreigner held in the country have been indicted on unknown charges, part of a series of detentions in the wake of last year’s nuclear deal with world powers.

The four, who have ties to Britannia, Canada and the US, all are believed to have been detained by hardliners in Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guards. The reasons for their arrests remain unclear, though the husband of one of them says his family was told by the Guard she’d be released if the British government agreed to their demands.

According to Iran’s semi-official ISNA and Tasnim news agencies, Tehran’s prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dowlatabadi named the four as: Homa Hoodfar, an Iranian-Canadian retired professor at Montreal’s Concordia University; Siamak Namazi , an Iranian-American businessman who has advocated for closer ties between the two countries and whose father is also held in Tehran; Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, an Iranian-British woman working for the Thomson Rooters Foundation, the charitable arm of the news agency; and Nizar Zakka, a US permanent resident from Leb who has done work for the American government.

The four were placed in durance vile
Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un!
in connection to separate cases over the past year. Family members and representatives of the four say they did nothing wrong.

Dowlatabadi’s statement did not elaborate on the charges. He said another seven people faced charges related to the unrest that surrounded the country’s disputed 2009 presidential election.

Iran does not recognize dual nationalities. In previous cases involving dual nationals, like the detention of Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian, officials initially announced indictments had been handed down without providing specifics. Later, news organizations with close ties to security services offered details of the charges.

Those detained typically face trial in Iran’s Revolutionary Court, a closed-door tribunal which handles cases involving alleged attempts to overthrow the government. Rezaian was convicted but later released in January as part of a prisoner swap between Iran and the US.

While Iranian officials have not publicly demanded another swap, analysts have suggested the detainees might be used by hardliners as bargaining chips. Richard Ratcliffe, the husband of Zaghari-Ratcliffe, said as much in a statement to journalists Monday marking the 100th day of his wife’s detention.

Ratcliffe said the Guards told his wife’s family she would be released as long as the British government reached "an agreement" with them. He said they did not elaborate, other than to say it did not involve the recent nuclear deal, which lifted economic sanctions on Iran in exchange for it limiting its atomic program.

His infant daughter Gabriella also remains in Iran, as authorities seized her passport.

"That the Iranian authorities are willing to hold a mother and baby hostage for domestic politics and as a bargaining chip in their international negotiations shows that they have reached a very dark place," Ratcliffe said.

Iranian officials in Tehran could not be reached for comment. Iran’s mission to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Monday’s announcement did not include any mention of Namazi’s father, Baquer Namazi, a former Iranian and UN official in his 80s who is also detained. Also unaccounted for is former FBI agent Robert Levinson, who vanished in Iran in 2007 while on an unauthorized CIA mission.

The hardline crackdown since the nuclear accord has included the detention and sentencing of Iranian poets, filmmakers, artists and others. Most recently, famed Iranian sculptor Parviz Tanavoli found himself banned from traveling abroad and had his passport seized.

On Monday, Tanavoli told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named that police had filed a complaint alleging that his work was "disturbing public opinion" and "spreading lies." The sculptor called the complaint "baseless" and said his lawyer would fight against his travel ban, which prevented him from giving lectures in London.

Arabia
Saudi youth in their 20s meat for ISIS
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] ISIS (so-called ISIS) group had recruited 12 Saudi brothers to carry out five terrorist operations of which four were in Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and the fifth was against a famous mosque in Kuwait.

According to a statement by the Interior Ministry, four brothers were involved in the kaboom that took place at the mosque of the emergency forces in Asir on Aug. 6, 2015, killing 15 military staff and injuring 33 others.

The criminals were the brothers: Majed Zaid Al-Bakri Al-Shihri and Abdullah Zaid Al-Bakri Al-Shihri -- both in their early 20s. The other two brothers involved in the same crime were Taie Salim Yaslam Al-Saiari and Mutie Salim Yaslam Al-Saiari.

The security forces were able to nab two brothers on Sept. 16, 2015 who belonged to ISIS and were hiding in a villa in Al-Munsiyah district in the east of Riyadh.

They had turned the villa into a hide-out for Lions of Islam but were caught by the security forces following a heavy exchange of fire. They were Ahmed Saeed Jabir Al-Zahrani (21 years old) and Mohammed Saeed Jabir Al-Zahrani, who was only 19.

The security forces found in the villa cash amounting to more than SR500,000, a machine gun, a pistol, five hand grenades and a large quantity of live ammunition.

Khaled and Saleh Al-Owaini, 19 year-old twins, who belonged to ISIS, killed their own mother and stabbed their father and brother on Jan. 21, 2016, using daggers and knives. The heinous crime against the mother and father shook the Saudi society where obedience to parents is still held sacred.

The twins admitted to the crime, which they committed in cold blood, and said they both belonged to ISIS, which had asked them to kill their mother, father and brothers.

Abdul Rahman and Ibrahim Saleh Al-Omar, two brothers, killed themselves when they went kaboom! their booby-trapped belt at Faraj Al-Omran mosque in Qatif on Monday, July 4.

Majed and Mohammed Abdullah Al-Zahrani, two Saudi brothers, were involved in the terrorist kaboom of the Imam Saddiq Mosque in Kuwait. Close coordination between the security forces in the Kingdom and Kuwait led to the arrest of the brothers.

ISIS is targeting young Saudis, usually in their early 20s, to commit terror acts and to kill their own relatives and close kin. Most of the terrorist operations in the Kingdom were carried out by Saudi Lions of Islam who were between 20-26 years of age.

According to the Interior Ministry, only a single terrorist operation was carried out by a Saudi terrorist, who was about 35 years old.

The terrorist who went kaboom! a body vest at the security check point near the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on Monday, Nair Moslem Hammad Al-Junaidi and the three other Lions of Islam who were killed in Qaif were all under 20 years of age.

The series of kabooms which targeted eight mosques in six different cities and towns in the Kingdom on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, were carried out by six Saudis, who were between 20-30 years of age.

Khaled Ayed Al-Shammari who went kaboom! a bomb at the Al-Anoud mosque in Dammam, killing four worshipers, was only 20 years old. ISIS has made it a point to recruit the teenagers to become Lions of Islam making them dummies in its hands.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Israel nabs 2 Palestinian intel officers for making, selling guns
[IsraelTimes] In crackdown on illegal weapons in the West Bank, security forces seize firearms, ammo

Israeli forces locked away
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
four Paleostinian men outside of Nablus on Sunday night, including two members of the Paleostinian security service, who are believed to be involved in the production and sale of illegal weapons in the West Bank and Israel, the Shin Bet security agency said.

Numerous guns, ammunition and four drill presses, believed to have been used to create improvised weapons, were also seized in the raid, which took place in the village of Urif, just south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, the Shin Bet said.

During the raid, Israeli forces picked up Assem Najah Sharif Safadi and Ali Najah Sharif Safadi, residents of Urif who serve as intelligence officers in the Paleostinian Authority’s security service, the Shin Bet said.

Saadi Najah Sharif Safadi, 46, and Najah Assad Najah Safadi, 24, were also arrested in the crackdown, the security service said.

The four men appeared to be related to one another, but this could not be immediately confirmed with law enforcement.

"The assessment is that the above-mentioned took advantage of their connections to also sell [guns] to arms dealers in Israel," the Shin Bet said.

The overnight raid was a joint operation conducted by the Shin Bet, the IDF’s Samaria Regional Brigade, the Nahal Infantry Brigade, the undercover Duvdevan Unit and the Israel Police’s Samaria Division.

In addition to the locally produced "Carlo" submachine guns, which are loosely based off the designs of the Swedish Carl Gustav submachine gun, Israeli forces found pistols and components of M-16 assault rifles.

"This move is part of an ongoing effort against the production and sale of weaponry in the West Bank," the Shin Bet said.

In the past two weeks, the Paleostinian Authority has also begun cracking down on illegal guns in Nablus and Jenin, following a number of internal conflicts that left several dead in the West Bank, the Paleostinian Ma’an news site reported Monday.

However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
the Shin Bet denied any connection or collaboration between the Israel and Paleostinian forces in the effort.

The Carlo-style submachine gun has been the scourge of Israeli law enforcement throughout the recent violence in the West Bank and Israel. The easily produced but deadly weapon has been used in multiple Paleostinian attacks on Israeli civilians and security forces in the past year.

Last month, two cousins from the village of Yatta opened fire in a Tel Aviv restaurant with such weapons, killing four and wounding over a dozen others, before they could be arrested.

The often fully automatic Carlo can be created from nothing more than a water pipe and some basic tools, including the types of drill presses seized in Sunday night’s raid.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, IDF soldiers arrested seven other Paleostinians overnight, six of them for rock throwing and taking part in violent protests and one for undisclosed reasons, the army said.

The IDF is currently conducting a manhunt in the southern West Bank for a gunman who shot up Israeli car on a highway between settlements Saturday night, lightly injuring one man.

Afghanistan
APS massacre mastermind killed in US drone strike
[DAWN] The criminal mastermind of the Army Public School massacre, responsible for the death of 144 students and staff members, has been killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan, two security bigshots claim.

They told Dawn that Umar Mansour, alias Khalifa Mansour, alias Umar Naray, had been killed, along with another murderous Moslem leader Qari Saifullah, in the US drone attack in the Bandar area of Afghanistan’s Nangarhar

province on Saturday.

One of the officials said they had credible reports of Mansour having been killed with Saifullah, who was in charge of jacket wallahs. "What we have is pretty credible."

There was, however, some confusion over the death of Qari Saifullah. While one official said there were 90 per cent chances that he too had been killed along with Naray, another official said they were still trying to figure out whether he was there on the spot when the drone struck.

The US State Department had on May 25 designated Umar Naray a global terrorist, thus clearing the path for his inclusion in the hit-list. The State Department’s announcement came four days after a drone strike killed Afghan Taliban leader Akhtar Mansour in Balochistan

on May 21. A security official at the time had denied there was any quid pro quo between the two countries.

There is neither any official confirmation from the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) nor any independent source corroborates Naray’s death. However,
death is not the end. There remains the litigation over the estate...
if true, his death would serve a severe blow to the TTP.

Naray, because of his violent and back-to-back major terrorist attacks, was being regarded by Pak security agencies as a major threat.

"The focus would now be on getting Abdul Wali, alias Omar Khalid Khurasani

, and Maulvi Fazlullah, also believed to be in Afghanistan," the officials said, adding that Pakistain had shared intelligence and coordinated with Afghanistan, and while Kabul

and Mohmand and is believed to be the main character involved in extortion and assassination'>assassinations in the lovely provincial capital and the tribal region.

Fazlullah, on the other hand, is mostly focused on his native Swat.

Umar Naray was criminal mastermind of the Dec 16, 2014, attack on the Army Public School which had left 122 students and 22 teachers and staff dead. It was one of the worst terrorist attacks which prompted the government to declare an all-out war against terrorist outfits in the country.

The two murderous Moslem commanders belonged to TTP’s Tariq Geedar group and used to operate in Peshawar and adjoining Frontier Region Peshawar and Darra Adamkhel.

Mansour had fled to Afghanistan following a military operation in Khyber tribal region and continued to operate from there. He was held responsible for the Sept 2015 attack on a Pakistain Air Force base in Peshawar’s Badaber area, which left 29 people dead. He was also behind the Jan 2016 attack on the Bacha Khan University in Charsadda in which 18 students and faculty members bit the dust.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Hariri tribunal axes trial of slain Hezbollah commander
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A special UN court set up to prosecute the killers of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri overturned Monday an earlier decision to try in absentia a Hezbollah military chief who is thought to have died in May.

The Hague-based Special Tribunal for Leb's (STL) appeals chamber found by a majority "that sufficient evidence had been presented... to establish the death of Mustafa Badreddine," it said in a statement.

The court's judges last month insisted they would continue with the trial of Badreddine and four others, despite thousands attending Badreddine's funeral in Beirut.

The tribunal's appeals judges however had a different opinion and "ordered the Trial Chamber to terminate proceedings against the accused" -- but said the case could be reopened should new evidence come to light proving Badreddine is still alive.

Hezbollah said Badreddine, who was on a US terror sanctions blacklist and wanted by Israel, was killed in an kaboom on May 12 near Damascus international airport, in circumstances that are still shrouded in mystery.

The Shiite holy warrior group has deployed thousands of fighters in Syria where Badreddine had led its intervention in support of Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Trampler of Homs...
's forces, which are also backed by Russia and Iran.
Hezbollah has accused Islamist faceless myrmidons of killing Badreddine, but it has given little information about his death.

The STL launched proceedings against Badreddine and four other Hezbollah suspects in January 2014. They have never appeared in court.

Badreddine stood accused of criminal masterminding the 2005 bombing that killed Leb's ex-prime minister Hariri, who was killed along with more than 20 others in a massive suicide boom-mobileing on Beirut's waterfront.

The STL was set up in 2007 and is the only international ad-hoc tribunal with the jurisdiction to try an act of terror.

With Egypt’s blessing, Israel conducting drone strikes in Sinai — report
[IsraelTimes] As Egyptian foreign minister visits Jerusalem, Bloomberg quotes former Israeli official on bombing runs against Islamists

Israel has carried out drone strikes against faceless myrmidons operating in the Sinai Peninsula in recent years, according to a Bloomberg news report Monday that quoted an unnamed former bigwig.

The Arclight airstrikes were conducted with Egypt’s knowledge and blessing, according to the ex-official, who spoke to the US-based news site on condition of anonymity.

While it has become a well-known secret that Jerusalem and Cairo cooperate closely on security measures in the Sinai and Gazoo, many of the details of that relationship have been kept a closely guarded secret.

This report, published during Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry’s visit to Jerusalem, sheds additional light on covert security cooperation, which has come along with increasingly close ties on the political front.

Israeli military officials believe that despite ideological differences, Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, in Gazoo is cooperating with bandidos Lions of Islam affiliated with Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
or other gangs in Egypt’s neighboring Sinai region.

They praise Egypt’s crackdown on Hamas’s cross-border smuggling tunnels, which had been a main conduit for weapons into Gazoo, and say the Egyptian military is doing an admirable job in a fierce battle against IS murderous Moslems in Sinai.

Israel has allowed Egypt to move heavy weapons like tanks, artillery and attack helicopters into the Sinai to fight holy warriors, overlooking provisions in the landmark 1979 peace treaty between the two countries.

The two sides also are considered to have close intelligence ties.

The two countries have entered something of a golden age in their relationship since Sissi assumed the country’s leadership in 2013.

“This is one of the best times we’ve ever had" in terms of cooperation between governments, Israeli ambassador to Cairo Haim Koren said recently. "There’s good cooperation between the armies, we have understandings about the Sinai Peninsula, and basically, we see (eye-to-eye) on development of the region."

After decades of wars followed by years of an uneasy peace, Israel has emerged as an increasingly public ally to Sissi, along with powerhouse Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
and smaller, wealthy Gulf Arab countries.

Israel often praises Sissi for his tough stance on terrorism, and considers him a key ally in what it sees as a shared battled against Islamic Lion of Islams.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sissi often speak on the phone. In May, Netanyahu welcomed what he described as Sissi’s "willingness" to help advance the grinding of the peace processor with the Paleostinians, after Sissi said that Egypt’s relations with Israel could be warmer if it made peace with the Paleostinians.

“We have common enemies in the sense of terrorism, or if you like, radical Islamic terrorism, emerged from the same root no matter if it happens to be Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason, or the Moslem Brüderbund, ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
or al-Qaeda," Koren said. Sissi "understood quickly that we are all in the same boat," he added.

#1  The rolling fix:

1. Lynch was appointed as U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn, NY from 1999 to 2001. Who appointed her? Then President Bill Clinton.

2. Lynch resigned in 2001 to join the law firm Hogan & Hartson. This is the same law firm that represented the company MXLogic. MXLogic was the company Hillary first used to set up her private email server and account. Executives from this law firm have also donated to the Clintons.

3. From 2003 to 2005 Lynch served as a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of NY. The Federal Reserve Bank is actually a privately owned corporation, compromised of numerous banks. Several of these banks and or their executives have donated to the Clintons political campaigns and to the Clinton Foundation.

4. In 2010, President Obama re-appointed Lynch as U.S. Attorney in Brooklyn. In 2015, Obama then appointed her as head U.S. Attorney for the nation.

5. A few days ago, as we all know, Lynch met with Bill Clinton, privately, on her private government jet. This meeting was a few days before the FBI interviewed Hillary and a few days before todays announcement.

6. After this meeting, Lynch said something that no U.S. Attorney has ever said. She first apologized and said she should not have met him (obviously an apology based on her being caught, not apologizing for the actual action). She then states something U.S. Attorneys do not state. She stated her office will be guided by whatever recommendation the FBI gives them. Why was this statement ridiculous? She is the head of the U.S. Justice Department. The FBI is a sub unit of DOJ. She is the top boss, not Comey and not the FBI. Her office decides to prosecute or not, NOT the FBI.

7. In 1996 Comey was appointed as a Senate Committee Investigator /Counsel to investigate the Clintons in Whitewater. His findings concluded no wrongdoing with the Clintons.

8. Comey and Lynch met back in the early 2000's. Comey was appointed by Bush as the U.S. Attorney for Manhattan.

9. In 2002, Bush appointed Comey as Deputy U.S. Attorney and he was tasked with investigating Bill Clintons mass pardons as he left office. Comey concluded that Clinton had done nothing wrong.

10. Comey went into private practice and in 2005.

11. In 2014, Obama appointed Comey as FBI Director. Lynch is Comeys boss, as she is the head of the parent agency, DOJ. Lynch is the chief law enforcement officer of our nation. Comey holds the number two position in the sub agency, the FBI.

At the end of the day, how do we have Lynch, previously appointed by Bill Clinton, and formerly an employee of the law firm that is connected to Hillarys email scandal, in charge of the investigation into Hillarys email scandal, with the lead investigative agency led by a man who twice investigated the Clintons and both times found them not guilty of wrong doing, also appointed by the current U.S. President, who appointed Lynch, who is Comeys boss? And Comey and Lynch have known each other for decades as well. How was this investigation to have ever been legitimate?

Britain
Theresa May to be new Brit Prime Minister
Theresa May says she is "honoured" and "humbled" to be the new Conservative leader as she prepares to take over from David Cameron as prime minister on Wednesday. At lunchtime, shortly after a key campaign speech by the Home Secretary, her only rival in the Tory leadership race, Andrea Leadsom, withdrew.

Mr Cameron was then whisked back from an air show in Hampshire to Downing Street. Just before 4pm, Mr Cameron came out of Number 10 and told the waiting media that he will do a final Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday and then see the Queen to resign.

This evening, Mrs May was confirmed as leader of the Tory party and then, surrounded by her supporters at Westminster, she paid tribute to her rival candidates in the race.

The Maidenhead MP, who will be Britain's second female prime minister, said Mrs Leadsom had shown "dignity", and also expressed her gratitude to Mr Cameron.

One of her first big tasks as PM will be negotiating the UK's withdrawal from the European Union after last month's referendum. The PM designate, who backed staying in the EU, said: "Brexit means Brexit and we will make a success of it."
Britain needs a PM who feels Brexit in her bone marrow. Is Ms. May that person?
Mrs May, 59, said she wanted to "negotiate the best deal for Britain" and "forge a new role for ourselves in the world".

And she said she wanted to reunite the nation and "give a strong new positive vision for the future of our country... that works not for the privileged view but that works for everyone of us".

She added: "We are going to give people more control over their lives. That is how, together we will build a better Britain."

Police told to attach property of absconders in triple murder case

Turkey jails seven more suspects in Istanbul airport attack
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A Turkish court has placed in durance vile
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
seven suspects pending trial on terrorism charges over last month’s triple suicide kaboom at Istanbul’s main airport, bringing the number in jug to 37, the state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

The attack at Ataturk Airport killed 45 people and maimed hundreds, the deadliest in a series of bombings this year in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
The seven suspects were detained on charges of "membership of an armed terrorist group" and being accomplices to murder, Anadolu said. The private Dogan news agency said all seven were foreign nationals.

One government official has said the attackers were Russian, Uzbek and Kyrgyz nationals, and President Tayyip Erdogan has said ISIS forces of Evil from the former Soviet Union were behind the attack.

Media reports have said at least 11 of those detained were Russian.

The Istanbul bombing was followed by major attacks in Bangladesh, Iraq and Soddy Arabia

The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
, all apparently timed for the run-up to Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the Ramadan holy fasting month.

In the June 28 airport attack, three bombers opened fire to create panic outside the airport before two of them got inside and blew themselves up. The third murderous Moslem detonated his explosives outside at the entrance to the international arrivals terminal.

Moscow says thousands of Russian citizens and citizens of other former Soviet states have joined ISIS, travelling through Turkey to reach Syria. Russia fought two wars against Chechen separatists in the North Caucasus in the 1990s, and more recently has fought bully boy bandidos bully boys in Dagestan
...a formerly inoffensive Caucasus republic currently bedevilled by low-level Islamic insurgency, occasional outbreaks of separatism, ethnic tensions and terrorism, primarily due to its proximity to Chechnya. There are several dozen ethnic groups, most of which speak either Caucasian, Turkic, or Iranian languages. Largest among these ethnic groups are the Avar, Dargin, Kumyk, Lezgin, and Laks. While Russers form less than five percent of the population, Russian remains the primary official language and the lingua franca...
Last week a Turkish newspaper said authorities were seeking two suspected ISIS forces of Evil thought to be linked to the attack and believed to be in hiding near the border with Syria.

Mike Pence has ‘95 percent’ chance of being Trump’s VP pick
Scrambling among Indiana politicians has reached the point where Republican Party insiders are convinced that presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump will pick Indiana Gov. Mike Pence as his running mate.

The Trump election team boosted the Pence speculation Sunday by suddenly adding a campaign rally in Indianapolis to a fundraiser planned for Tuesday featuring Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence. Several Republicans close to the campaign and to the governor have told The Times over the last 24 hours that they are now convinced it’ll be Mr. Pence.

Mr. Bopp, also a member of the convention’s rules committee, told The Times that the “rally made it a 95 percent probability it’s Pence.”

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell said that Sunday’s sudden addition of a Trump rally after the fundraising event was a complete change from Mr. Trump’s original schedule, which had called for a quick appearance at the fundraiser and equally quick exit from Indiana.

Mr. Pence, who is little known nationally but highly admired in conservative circles, also made a telling private call to Mr. Cardwell, according to a Republican close to both men. In the call the governor told Mr. Cardwell to delay his planned Tuesday departure to Cleveland for a Republican National Committee meeting, saying Mr. Cardwell needed to be sure to attend an Indianapolis fundraiser featuring Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence.

The Trump-Pence fundraiser already was a big deal, with tickets are going from $2,700 to $250,000. But its scheduled date falling so close to the July 18-21 Republican National Convention here was being interpreted by some political observers as ideal for a possible VP announcement by the party’s presumptive presidential nominee.

But Mr. Cardwell also said the request to delay his departure for Cleveland came from the RNC, not the governor, and had nothing to do with “Trump announcing Pence as his running mate.”

Until now, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was the most probable vice presidential pick in most press accounts and in the minds of many GOP activists. But Republicans close to the action began to have doubts when Mr. Trump, at a rally with Mr. Gingrich last week, assured the crowd that the Georgian would definitely serve in some capacity in a Trump administration.

Those assurances seemed designed to gently let down loyalists Mr. Gingrich, 73, has accumulated over his 36 years in politics and public life, during which he is credited with planning the GOP’s stunning 1994 takeover of the U.S. House after 40 years in the minority.

Mr. Gingrich has traveled with Mr. Trump on campaign stops and has won kudos from even Trump skeptics for explaining the hows and whys of the Trump phenomenon at this point in American political history better than anyone else, including Mr. Trump himself.

Coalition air strikes kill ISIS militants in Syria
[AlArabiya] Air strikes by US-led coalition warplanes and artillery fire from Turkey killed eight ISIS militants in northern Syria, state-run Anadolu Agency cited the Turkish military as saying on Sunday.

Ten ISIS targets were hit in the strikes, which also destroyed one building used by the militants as a base, the agency said.

It said Turkish army howitzers fired on the militants as they were preparing to open fire on Turkey on Saturday from the areas of Baragitah, Tel Ahmar and Shabaniye in northern Syria.

Turkey and the coalition have carried out regular strikes against ISIS in the area in recent months after rocket attacks by the militants on the Turkish border town of Kilis.

Kilis, just across the frontier from an ISIS-controlled region of Syria, has been hit by rockets more than 70 times this year. More than 20 people have been killed.

Kerry plans trip to Moscow seeking ‘common ground’ on Syria
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] US Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
will make his latest trip to Moscow this week to seek common ground on how to deal with the ongoing bloodshed in Syria.

The State Department said Kerry would speak to his Russian counterpart about Syria and Ukraine and tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorny-Karabakh region.

Spokesman John Kirby played down reports that Washington and Moscow may agree on coordinated US-Russian military action against bad boy groups Al-Nusra and the ISIS in Syria.

"But, as we've said before, we continue to explore options, alternatives and proposals with respect to the fight against Nusra and ISIS in Syria," he said.

"And... to the degree to which the Russian military is willing to be committed to the fight against those two groups, and exclusively those two groups, that's a conversation that we're willing to have," Kirby added. "But there's no military coordination going on now."

There was no word as to who Kerry will meet in Moscow on Thursday and Friday, but on previous such trips, he has met with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov before heading to the Kremlin to see President Vladimir Putin
...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead...

... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
Lions of Islam rammed an exploding car into a Somali army base southwest of the capital on Monday and stormed inside, killing at least 10 soldiers, the group and a military officer said on
Monday.

"A suicide boom-mobile rammed into the base and then al-Shaboobs stormed it. At least 10 soldiers died," Major Ahmed Farah told Rooters from the nearby town of Afgooye.

An al-Shabaab front man said its fighters were behind the raid and said 30 soldiers had been killed. The group often cites a higher corpse count than official figures.
