#1 The single arm missile launcher was pulled a few years back, not certain why, running costs I would guess. Without the missile launcher it's only 9 times more effective than a LCS.

#4 Turkey already operates this class of frigate; likely these two would be added as a stop-gap measure until implementation of (or in place of) Turkey's announced indigenous frigate program.
As far as financial issues, the cost is somewhat less than a new one, usually overhauling/repair and updating the vessel.

Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
