#3 The core strategy in Iraq, the central front in the war on terror, has been, and is, to defend the MUSLIM population from killers. This is being repeated in Afghanistan. Classic counterinsurgency yes, but it does mean fighting a war to PROTECT Muslims.

Now THAT'S irony.

#7 Fundamentalist Islamists must be snickering. Nice. President of the most powerfull infidel nation in the world just assured them that they are not at war with the theology that demands Muslims harm infidels in the most painfull way, i.e. 9/11/01...
